are my gun tastes odd for a 22 year old?

My tastes are a little weird for my age as well. All of my other 19-20 year old friends can't wait to turn 21 and go out drinking. I, on the other hand, can't wait to turn 21 so I can buy handguns and ammo!
I was the same way. I put my first pistol on lawaway a week before I was 21, went back a week after I turned 21 to pick it up.

357wheelgunner, I'm just a few weeks over 20 and just quit drinking myself. Nothin' to look forward at that next birthday besides a handgun now... eyes on the prize, gentlemen, eyes on the prize... ;)

I have an 870 /wood/blue with a trap barrel and a 20" smooth bore deer barrel. Doenst get shot all that much but I'm keeping it.

Your choice of handguns is head and shoulders above that of 22 or 44 year olds who have fallen for the tactical ! Combat! Walter Mitty! Bullcrap

I'm about ten years older than you and we have similar tastes in firearms so you therefore you MUST have odd taste :D :D Save your brass for reloading either in the near or distant future!!!

Go on and pick up an N frame in a caliber that starts with "4" if you'd like. You can't go wrong with what you have.

Maybe keep an eye open for a S&W model 17 or 18 since you seem to like K framed revolvers. The 17 and 18 are chambered in 22lr.

A 22lr rifle might not be bad either.

Enjoy your collection!!!

Nothing wrong with it at all. I'm 20 years old, have a Henry Repeater (love the old west styling), looking to get one above my .22 caliber, a M48, looking for a Springfield, KAR98 and Garand now. As soon as i'm 21 and can own a handgun I have the 3 set up allready

1) first and foremost Colt SAA. I've always loved those guns and to this day nothing gets my heart beating like a good picture of one

2) Colt 1911. Have held them and shot them and for some reason they just seem to fit my hand.

3) .44 Magnum, long barrel, custom grips

I don't find it odd at all. I'm 29, and the next items on my gun list are a Marlin 1894C lever and some nature of SAA, both in .357. I do, however, primarily prefer autos in handguns, especially my 1911. I want a Garand pretty badly, too, and might have to make it the top of the list.

Yes your tastes are odd. Now go buy an AR-15. :D

j/k but even if you don't prefer autos every shooter needs a 1911.
