No factory gun makes me as happy as Colt. Got a few, and two more on lay-away right now.

Well i really can't speak for any of the others i only have a RIA compact but what i can tell you that i am very impressed with this little auto so far. More accurate then i expected not one falure to feed or fire great firearm and well made.

I have six 1911's, two Colts, three DW's. There is no way I'll pay again for a plastic trigger or mainspring housing, Colt cuts corners.

You've never seen a Springfield or a Kimber then, have you?

Colt doesn't use plastic triggers and has not for several years. The delrin MSH's do not have their finish wear off with handling, and they dampen recoil slightly. They certainly aren't a reason not to buy a gun; I've made peace with them.

I haven't seen too many 1911's I DIDN'T like and/or couldn't find a place in my collection for.

I voted Colt as my stainless Commander is a simple, accurate, reliable .45 that I just love to shoot.
