I voted Beretta 92, but honestly, in retrospect, i'd rather have a (German made) Sig 226.

Anyway, i'd be perfectly happy with either.

Well, I've only shot two of these (the Beretta and the Glock), but based on that experience, I'm going Beretta, especially considering that it shot some pretty decent groupings with my noob hands on it.

I voted for the BHP, but in reality I also love Berettas and the Glock 19.
Women are fickle, I guess....;)

I've never shot the Browning or the CZ. I've spent enough time with the Beretta M9 to know that I don't trust them. I'd actually prefer a G17 or G26 over anything on that poll, as the G19 doesn't fit my hands properly, but they weren't listed. So I voted Sig.

I own three of them on the list, and have shot the others. But the top two are missing. Where is the 2nd place XD9 and the winner M&P9?

Those are good guns, buth the XD and M&P are better.

In your opinion. I would have to disagree. I have owned and sold both because I didn't particularly like them after shooting them for awhile.

However, this poll is really about those five 9's listed not every 9 in existence.

Maybe somebody could put together a poll that had more than 5 of the ~50 popular 9mm pistols.

how can you have an oddball CZ up there and not the extremely popular XD?

Don't get me wrong....CZ makes good stuff but it's not exactly mainstream...I mean other than the internet boards and shooting clubs most people wouldn't know what a CZ even is (though I don't know...they've become so popular in the rimfire rifle world now maybe that is changing) Just struck me as an odd choice.

How can a plastic G19 be leading over the Browning Hi-Power?
Oh wait, I know......people who have never handled or shot a BHP, but own a G19.

I guess you know my vote.

No way I'm voting in that. every single one of those is beautiful. And if I slight one of them with my luck I'll never find any of them when I can afford them.

Don't get to worked up guys! This poll isn't exactly scientific. In order for it to mean anything everyone who voted would have to have extensively shot every gun on the list, and this is highly unlikely in any forum. There may be a very small handful of people here who have, but most of us are voting just on the one or two that we have shot, and lets face it everyone has shot a glock lol. Chill, it's just for fun!

Fun polll and interesting comments.

I have owned all on the list, except for the CZ. All were great guns, but were sold for various reasons. It really is a matter of personal feeling, I think.

Loved the SIG 226 for its reliability, accuracy and mechanics. Really liked the controls and thought they were intelliigently and perfectly laid out. Fun to shoot. Without question, a great combat gun. Like the trigger quite a bit...though some had a long take up...which I did not like. But....it felt like a brick in my hands and after shooting a 1911, I could no longer favor the fat grip.

Always loved the design of the Beretta 92. Elegant and seemingly efficient. I think they are well built and very well thought out. But....sold it because the fat grip and thin nose never lent themselves to accuracy for me. Further, I could just never master the trigger. Tried the Stoeger Cougar...what a terrific design....shot very well...but I could never enjoy the trigger.

Shot both the SIG and Beretta very well...but both made me feel as if I could do better.

Have a Glock 19 and favor it. Hated the Glock trigger at first, but after concentrating on its geometry and how it worked, adjusted my finger on it and got great results. It can be a tack driver for me....and i still do not know why. It just works. I also like it because it feels like one of my all time fav's...the SIG P225 (which I had a chance to shoot...but for some dumb reason passed up on buying...ug). I like the lightness of the frame and find I can take it anywhere. Great size, feel and weight. Trigger just seems to work.

The BHP.....do not have one, but have a 1911 framed 9mm. LOVE that. Hands down my all around fav. Perfect grip and trigger. Perfect width. For target shooting, like the extra weight. As a mechanical device....love how it is put together, machined, designed and thought of. True genius, that cannot be duplicated. A true classic that has yet to be surpassed.

So....as for the poll....well.... I love my 1911 framed 9mm (as I would a BHP). I will always have it and always shoot it. It is #1 for the collection and shooting.

But...cannot be without my Glock 19. It is my go anywhere, completely dependable, 15 round, best defense weapon.

Would like to have a SIG P225 in my collection (for the right price)....if I could have a collection. Or a P226 or P228. But they are not priorities.
