.22HP/.22 Savage: Just a fun, accurate caliber for the legendary 1899
.444 Marlin: When you just don't feel like shooting .45-70, but want something similar.
.44-40: Awesome cowboy round, adds nearly 20% value to my 1873 according to bluebook.
.32 Remington: Only cartridge I have for a Pump gun (Remington 141). Also pretty accurate with the vintage Weaver scope on that gun.
.218BEE: Can shoot these all day long, but have never seen them forsale locally.
.32-20: In a revolver its powerful, In a rifle, its a great small cartridge.

another +1 for the .257 Roberts. Very accurate, flat shooting round.
 
300 Savage, 32 Winchester Special and 25-20 WCF are all oddball cartridges I use and like.
 
Another vote for the 6.5x55, sweetest gun in my rack. But did just get done with a 375/338 Taylor Chatfield and started looking for a doner action for a 416 Taylor, my next project.
 
8mm Mauser, may not be oddball, but sure as hell hard to find around here.

6.5 swede - just a nice shooting round.
 
Probably the .458American Express (my cartridge based upon the .45-120) right ATM, but the .260Rem., 6.5x55mmSwede, .280Rem., .35Whelen, 9.3x64mmBrenneke, and .375H&H rank pretty high as well (though none are really obscure, just hard to find). I like the .458AmEx. because it gives new life to an old case, pushing it well past the original specifications by using nitrocellulose powder and solids...well that, and I like a big 'ole boomer. :D
 
A few years ago I bought a New England Handi Rifle chambered in .357 magnum. I had a gunsmith rechamber it to .357 Maximum. With this gun I can now shoot 38 Specials, 357 magnums and 357 Maximums. I shoot specials for plinking, the magnums for vermin, and some day the max's for deer.

Its almost like a Star Tek phaser, I can go from "stun" to full power in one weapon.:D
 
.30-40 Krag. Great load, good for young hunters. With the original loading, 220 gr bullet, makes it capable of taking the largest NA game.
 
7.5x55

7.5x55 swiss. Around here you can find 54r and 8mm pretty easy but with the 7.5x55 you basically need to order it off the internet. My k-31 is the most accurate gun I own, and a devastating round on whitetail. Just waiting for my chance to see how it does on black bear.

+1. Powerful round, and you're not going to find better kevlar penetration in ANY handgun round. And there's just something about the muzzle flash when you're shooting it at an indoor range. People KNOW you're shooting something hot.

I also like 9x18 Makarov. Not that oddball, but less common in the States than its closest relative, the .380 ACP. It's overall a better round, and the pistols chambered in it are consistently better quality, if slightly heavier, than commercial pistols chambered in .380. The ammo's also very cheap by comparison. There's a reason my father and I both carry Polish P-64's and I personally own no fewer than 3 different 9x18 pistols.

How about 7.7x58 Jap? The Arisaka 99 round is beastly. It's effectively a rimless .303 British.
 
I don't currently own an oddball round but there are several I'd love to have, not that they're that much better than common offerings, but they're just cool. I'd love to have a .280 AI, a 7mm STW, or a .308 Norma Mag.
I roll my own so I wouldn't be concerned about factory ammo.
