Marlin and Savage

I like my Marlin 25 MN in 22 WMR, but it has a stock trigger pull like changing a tire.
But I love my Savage Mark II BV. It dispatches wandering hordes of squirrels and the occasional wild band of chiprats with the greatest of ease, and a it has a totally wicked trigger too!:D

I really like rimfires,I have an old win 69,a henry goldenboy,an old remington,an Anshutz 54,three ruger 10/22s and I like them all. Truth be told that the one I shoot the most is my Ceiner rimfire conversion for my Ar 15s.
It lets me use all my different ARs from target to carbine with all my sights, red dots and scopes . Just lots of fun!

:) my favorite rimfire would be the ruger mark 2 goverment target model if you have the means i highly recomend picking one up:)

Savage .22LR bolt action

I have a new Savage, Mark II, .22LR, bolt action. This cheap ($139.00) rifle, has a black plastic stock and carbon steel receiver/barrel. The removeable magazine holds 10 shots.

I fired 10 shots of Remington Thunderbolts, off-hand at 25 yards, using the iron sights. The group can be covered by a dime. That's not a bad little .22 rifle. I do have the target, but no pics of it at present. Imagine...$139.00! The only draw-back in my mind is that it was manufactured in Canada. :(

Marlin model 60 , very accurate right from the box, cheaper than dirt (got mine used for $50) semi-automatic, and very hardy.

I've got enough .22s that I'm going to have to pick three:

First, the 10/22. What more is there to say? <1/2" groups at 50 yards, and the 25-round TI magazines I got for it recently have made it more fun than ever.

I got this Savage Striker several years back. It was dirt cheap. The factory trigger was horrendous, but with a Rifle Basix sear it's shaped up to be fairly accurate. It's an eye-catcher at the range and a lot of fun to shoot.

I have a DPMS dedicated .22 upper. It is a blast. It's far more accurate than I expected and very reliable, even with subsonics.

I know I said three, but what the heck, here's a fourth, my 77/22. With subsonic ammo dry firing it is louder than shooting it (no joke!).

Honorable mentions would have to include my 9422 and Winchester 1906. And my Browning Buckmark rifle ... :D

I haven't posted this before, so here's the 60's vintage FN made Browning I grew up shooting alongside dad's Marlin. Mom still lets me borrow it once in a while. Pretty no?

22's, you have to love them. It has never made any sense to me what so ever for someone to want to start with anything else when they are learning to shoot. 22's are great for the newbie and the seasoned vet as well.

My current favorite is a Remongton 541-S rifle. I am counting my money for a new Weatherby Mark XXII (bolt action) and am looking forward to a new 22. My second favorite is a Weatherby Mark XXII (semi-auto) 22 rifle. Guess I like the higher end 22 rifles.
