I voted for Glock as well. I own a 27 & a 21sf, but I just bought an M&P 40 Pro Series that I have fallen in love with. Just like the G27 I have ordered a 9mm conversion barrel for it along with a 357sig barrel. It is my second S&W and I would definitely rate them just behind the Glocks.

I own a Taurus pt111 Mil Pro like the one pictured earlier and I can attest that it really is a fine pistol. Mine has well over 5000 rounds through it with no problems. I did a torture test on my Glock 27 & the Mil Pro. I shot 1000 rounds through each without cleaning, oiling, etc. The Glock never misfired, but the Taurus had 3 ftf's after the 900 mark. Another testament to the Glock. As long as the Mil Pro stays relatively clean it functions perfectly.

Any Glock, but especially the 19 or 26.

My all time fave is my 1911. But to stay on topic:

They're all nice shooters.

I personally prefer my XDm's. And it's really not based on superior accuracy or quality, just preference in ergos and triggers.

Got a 9 for plinking and a 45 for duty carry.

Also have several all steel guns.

wicked, that's got to be the most ridiculous setup I ever saw on a pistol.
that would be the mag loader that comes in the box, with a magazine sitting in it and the (mostly useless) rail-mount designed to put the loader on your gear (not pistol, gear, like a mag carrier or something) improperly slapped onto the pistol for laughs.

I voted for the glock. I love my 19, it is one of my favorites. I owned a used XDM 40 and I really tried to like it, but I didn't. I put 1000 rounds through it and sold it. There wasn't anything wrong with it, I just like glocks better.

No more parochial then that Fnh makes them in VA. Keeps Virginians employed and fills the state coffers with tax dollars. As a result it may keep my state and county tax rates down.

I voted Beretta for one reason only:
The Beretta 9000.

You can carry it cocked and locked and the trigger is so smooth and light that my front sights don't move at all when I fire. It's just the right plasticy feel. You know it's plastic, but it simply works so well it doesn't matter.

I've owned several Glocks, 17,19, & 26's. As much as I liked them, my Kahr PM9 serves my purposes better. The Glocks are too blocky for carry down here in S. FL where the clothing is light. I also have a Kel Tec PF9, and while it does not compare in overall quality, it is a great carry piece.

Out of choices XD / XDM the one I am somewhat familiar with due to my brother has one.

I also like the way they package and price the XD's Good package at a good price!

I do not even own a polymer pistol, not my thing, had a walther P22 for all of three weeks and traded it for snub nose revolver!

I'll go with the HK line up.
The HK45 and 45c are great handguns, very accurate, easy to shoot, great ergonomics, and top reliability.

The P30 is also a good one.

The USP Elite is great range gun, very accurate, yet light weight.

I wish I had a P2000SK.

This poll represents ownership pretty well. The vast majority of polymer pistol owners own Glocks. I like the G-21 but I'll tell you why I haven't bought one. Polygonal rifling, not good for cast reloads. Poor chamber support, though this has improved somewhat. Last but not least, Glock doesn't relieve the ejection ports on any of their pistols. That's why you'll notice the little triangular scar on the casemouth of a fired round. I own an XDm in .45 ACP because of the conventionally rifled Match Grade barrel, excellent chamber support and a relieved ejection port as any good pistol should have. There is not a better polymer frame .45 made than the XD/XDm. Not even H&K. Spend $100 on a drop in trigger kit for the XDm and you'll have a better trigger than any H&K is possible of. Better than many 1911s because the trigger kit in my pistol eliminates overtravel just like the set-screw on a 1911. Plus that H&K will still cost you $450 more.;)

HK triggers go from sloppy to superb, depending on the model, and the action. HK45 has a great SA, but rough DA. The P30 has a smooth SA and DA. While the DA is heavy on the P30, it is more than acceptable for its purpose.

Whether or not the extra $450 is worth it depends on the buyer. Apparently it is to many of us.

My M&P40 Pro Series is my favorite polymer pistol, and it runs a close second to my custom 1911 in accuracy.

I carry my PT709 every day. I have put several hundred, trouble free, rounds through it. It has yet to malfunction with any ammo (Federal, MagTech, WWB, Remington, Hornady) I have tried.

It is light, flat, and easy to conceal.
