Your 4.2 of TiteGroup with 124 bullets is exactly what I use. Since that powder is hard to see in a typical small caliber revolver case, 9mm and 45 ACP are far better candidates. The big bores are easier to see in the case, but I have other powder preferences for large calibers.Hello all,
I got a new box of 124grain RMR FMJ RN.
I’m also interested in trying a new powder.
What are you folks using under your 124grain 9mm? I’m primarily will be shooting indoors 7-15 yards.
I like Tightgroup 4.2grains @ 1.135 with 115gr FMJ RN but so far 4-4.1 grains under the 124 didn’t seem so grand and there is not much wiggle room left. I have CFE P which I love in 40 S&W but so far I’m not sure about it in 9mm. I was thinking about either AA#5 , AA#7 , Trueblue and maybe BE86.
Guess I m just kind of curious as to what others are using.
Have a great weekend!!
WSF is my favorite. Works well mid to high, not a much velocity on top as some others.
Not a common choice but most people who have tried it seem to like it.
CFE-P works well for me on the higher side of it's charge range.
For max vel maybe BE86.
Actually found a pound today while out with the wife I snagged it to give it a go.WSF is my favorite. Works well mid to high, not a much velocity on top as some others.

I don't have much luck with copper plated bullets for accuracy, but my best load is a Hornady 124 XTP over CFE pistol. 2 MOA in a carbine at at around 1,400 fps.
My first try with Sport Pistol was promising. I need to try it in more applications.
JIm Watson Assuming that you load 124/125's for your 9mm what is your grain load for HP 38?
Sooo True Blue is good in 9mm? Do you have any chrono data? I have a pound waiting on me for work ups!Hs-6 so far followed by true blue, there are so many powders that work well and some new ones on the way like win 244 and imr unequal due to hit the shelves soon
Thanks! Waiting on my RMR 124gr FMJ order. That looks promising. I’ll definitely look for some 124gr data to establish a starting load.Start low, work up. Haven't tried any with 124/5 Gr.

sorry no chrono ,I really need to get one somedayDo you have any chrono data?
In 124s I only shoot plateds (so that I am not forced to shoot GoldDots for practice ). My standard load features BE86.Favorite powder for 124grain 9mm
I picked up a pound today. It's Maxam CSB-1. Found some data on this forum and elsewhere.Glad to hear someone likes Green Dot.
The guy I get most of my powder from has a 55 gallon drum full of powder. Not actually Green Dot but it says to load using Green Dot data.
Says he will give me a very good deal on some if I can use it.
