Hey thats a nice looking Carbine. I've got a plainfield that I've got a few thousand rds. thru. The're great shooters. I cast bullets and reload for mine, anywayhave lots of fun with it.

Nice gun, throw out the sorry ammo

That's a darn good trade you made there. I'd suggest throwing the steel case Wolf ammo in the nearest garbage can at the range and buy some decent brass cased ammo.

Clean and oil the gun good. Get some decent ammo. Move that target to 50 yards. You'll be very surprised how good these little M1s shoot with the proper care, good ammo and a little practice. :scrutiny:

Good luck and have fun with your new rifle. It is definitely a keeper. I'd also agree with the person earlier that said avoid Universal M1 Carbines. I've seen several people with Universals and never seen one that was worth a darn. The last one I saw about a year ago at the range, every time the fellow would shoot it something would fall off of it. By the time he emptied a 15 round magazine most of his gun was laying in the dirt between his feet. :D

They are nice collector items too. I have one of every kind that was made for the Military. I don't buy the civilian made copies. :(

Have fun.

Joe
