Same for me.

My GSG 1911 22LR hated Armscor too and only produced around 2" groups at 25 yards with my pre-cataract surgery eyes (BTW, left eye surgery was yesterday and right eye in 3 weeks). :D

Prayers for a good surgery recovery. My mom had it done and had great results.

My results were the sv 40gr. I'm going to try the 36 gr because my wife picked some of it up.
It's acceptable for close range rabbit and squirrel. Just not bragging material like I'm used to.

Preach it.

Americans are mostly biased against a good pellet gun and the cost to entry..... they can get a "real gun" for less and they do not know what they are missing out on! and I am not talking gamo or chinese... although they have a place- I would not handicap myself starting there!!! I got lucky and my dad was introduced to quality airguns like Feinwerkbau and Weihrauch ... and the "bug" passed to me

I didn't go that high. I settled on a Benjamin Vaporizer. I can hit a 6" plate with it off hand at 50 yards about 90% of the time.
My next one will be a pre compressed air one. Springers give up a lot of accuracy for the extra power.

They are a lot more impressive now that what was common when I was a kid.

Those first 4 plates are just under 2” but they are more accurate than that, taking time for a more careful aim.

Springers like different holds and PCP’s need support equipment that can cost more than the rifle or require more manual labor vs reloading a Mag. I have room in my life for both but understand people preferring one or the other.

I thought this thread was about 22LR?

And we have an entire subcategory dedicated to air guns and pellet guns - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?forums/air-guns.70/

well yer whining aside- the thread was about cheaper .22lr prices and availability... when the comment on getting a cheap pellet gun was brought up. I think most of us here "like" to shoot and the pellet gun option offers cheaper ammo prices for funn practice. I have been blessed to have been exposed to both firearms and pellet guns and like i said many times before and will again that every shooter pwes it to themselves to own/experience a quality pellet gun... as far as a sub forum here- YES but if a guy does not know he needs one he wont start looking :p

While I am well stocked up on reloading components, during the shortage, I have been shooting more 22LR in my ARs using CMMG 22LR conversion bolt, GSG 1911 22LR and recently bought Advantage Arms 22LR slide kit for my Glock 22.

And if I want to save even more money, although I have several .177/.22 break barrel pellet rifles, hard to beat Crosman Legacy 1000 to plink with BBs and soup/tomato cans out to 35 yards.
