Of all the firearms manufacturers (CZ, Glock, Sig, etc.), which do you think has the most brand loyalty? This is a rather neutral forum (as opposed to one of the brand specific forums)...so this seems the best place to ask the question.

I think that Glock probably has the most diehard fanboy koolaid-drinking loyalists.

Colties will still drool over other fine blued pistols.

I agree with Glock having the largest Cult of Koolaid drinkers. But I'm part of that group.

If "1911" wasn't a platform and split between 400 different makers, I'd pick this first. I'm part of this group too.

Wow I'm surprised no one's mentioned CZ they have quite the following here, which BTW I'm a part of

And in my opinion anyone who says Llama is a good fire arm is definetely a cult fanatic

Toss up between Colt and Glock fellas. Well an edge to the Colt guys as they've been around for over 100 years. The Glock fellas are intense but seem to work too hard at it.

Smith & Wesson Revolvers have a far larger following with past and
current production handguns, including their variation on the 1911 and the
various polymer platforms they produce. ALL of the other makers specialize
in niches of partial segments.

THe rest are kool aid sots...

FUnny the O.P. picks three manufacturers who are working only into
their 4th decade of the product lines they sell.
I find most Glock owners pretty much wanting everybody
else to by into what they have to justify their purchase

Funny that - seems insecure to me but that is just my .02

and if yah don't like it well the old longbow brits vs the french
might say 'Pluck yew" which is what I think of Glocks and thier
owners 'tudes.

Hey I own three Smith & Wessons and one Colt. But I also own multiple CZs, Sigs, Glocks, and One FN (a 5.7). No disrespect to the manufacturers I left off or referred to as "etc." I didn't want to make "the list" too long and named the first three brands I thought of. Besides I just wanted to hear what others thought and knew they would let me know who else needed to be included. AND My wish list includes at least a half dozen others:)))) I just love guns!!!!!

GLOCK. No doubt.

Glock is the only brand that if someone says "I am looking for [insert specs, caliber, size, function here] but NO GLOCKS" the GLOCK boys will come out in force to convince the OP why he is wrong and life can only be complete once he/she has the honor no dare I say the privilege of holding their very own GLOCK in their hand. :what:

Ok I exaggerated slightly but it is the only company who brand name is in ALL CAPS. It is like nobody can say glock they have to say GLOCK (yelling). :D

i scrolled down and was suprised armoredman didn't post his CZ tattoo, lol...

all brands have their own die-hard fanboys. in terms of numbers, i'd say the 1911 and glock people far outnumber the rest.

in terms of brand loyalty as in, "i will only buy gun X"... well, probably glock. 1911 guys buy other guns, CZers buy other guns, and SIG folks buy other guns... but i know more people with just glocks than other brands. this is just georgia though.

I'm gonna say Glock or the H&K guys.

Glockies tend to think that Glocks are the best in the world and that anybody who is not into glocks is just make due with outmoded technology.*

H&K guys just know that the rest of us suck and they hate us.:D

*no disrespect meant to Glock fans. I'm just talking about the die hard jerks that you get with any group, not just normal people who can appreciate a good gun for what it is. For some reason Glock just seems to have a higher percentage of these guys associated with it. But let it be said right now, I'm no hater. I think Glocks are great and I'm just sorry the ergos don't wrk for me.

Boy...tough call. Glock guys do post a lot some seem to think that is is absolute lunacy to buy anything else. HK guys can have an air of "my gun is better than your gun" and seem to feel their guns would shoot ammo if fed backwards. Sig is pretty highly regarded by the fans...to the point that they will pay more for even ones on the fringes...like old German police pistols that don't all feed JHP well, or zinc diecast .22's that "look" like their big brothers, but cost more and are less reliable than Rugers.

That should stir some stuff up. :)

Actually, I think these three are highly regarded because they deserve it. Not because they can do no wrong, but because they have done some things right, very well and very consistently.

I'm surprised no one said HK. Go over to HKpro, lots of hardcore fans.
One thing about the diehard HK fanboys is that unlike the Glock fans, a large percentage of them don't actually own any HKs (outside of Airsoft copies).

At least the Glock fanboys actually own Glocks.

Glock owners are pretty diehard and dedicated (which is fine, Glock makes a fine product).

CZ fans are pretty fanatic but there are less of them.

Oddly enough I see more Sig fans with stickers on their cars than any other mfg. (lot of guys around here have the
2small-sticker-gotsig.jpg
sticker on their vehicles)

Now Steyr fanatics like myself, we're a fanatic lot but there's only a few dozen of us out there :p

CZ fans are pretty fanatic but there are less of them.

Yeah well maybe if CZ didn't make a supremely excellent pistol platform at an incredibly good price (these days) we wouldn't love on 'em so much!

SHHHHH!!! That was me for almost a year before I bought my first pistol, which was a USP .40! I was pumped! Haven't gotten another one since, because of magazine prices and I haven't found another one for $460.
