Pretty light sentence. Now he’s a homeless felon. I wonder if he still thinks that vigilante plan was worth it.

Well the OP did get me to read the thread and follow the links to read all that.
Ms. And NYC are seperated by many miles. If I had to go there I would probably understand why he had the guns with him. In that enviroment you would just be another easy victim without one it seems.
Drugs, no excuse to have those on the road, riding dirty ain't cool.

I've walked through the "Hell's Kitchen" neighborhood, alone, after midnight, before and felt - and was - perfectly safe. New York City is NOT what you imagine it to be.

Good.

Quoting from the linked article:
Upon searching the truck, police found a 12-gauge shotgun, an assault rifle with high-capacity magazines, five handguns -- some of them loaded -- body armour, and a small amount of marijuana and a pipe.

Drive from one state to another with weapons that are not legal in that state and then add the fact they didn't even have the self-discipline to leave the marijuana and drug paraphernalia at home and these clowns need to be doing some hard time. It will help make sure the other people who think they can do anything they want regardless of what the law says, sit up and take notice that there are laws, there is an expectation they be obeyed and they are enforced.

The way things are these days way too many individuals go off half cocked using their emotions and do not reason things all the way through to the consequences of your actions part, no matter what situation we are talking about. Just more fake news causing problems IMHO. They may have had the best of intentions at the time, but the law was STILL needing to be followed. Guns , drugs, and not thinking things through do tend to cause problems when one is caught breaking multiple laws. No sympathy from here.
