FTF gun sale - they come to you, meet in the middle, or you go there?

I ask the other person what they would prefer, then we decide from there.
Generally speaking, I do not want internet strangers coming to my home. I prefer to meet at a public and neutral location within a reasonable distance for both parties.
My favorite spot is a large local gun store's parking lot (where many FTF transactions occur daily).
A few times I've met them at the seller's place of business for the sale. It's up to them in that case.

The couple of FTF sales I 've done as the seller, I try to meet on neutral ground, but with the deck still stacked in my favor. Both sales have been within spitting distance from where I work, i.e. public park across the street.

If I'm the seller, I usually suggest the meeting location ... somewhere other than my home. Same thing goes for any other FTF sale with an item small enough or mobile enough to move.

I tend to favor retail parking lots with security cameras.

I nearly always find a Starbucks or something in the middle.

I think meeting half way is good. It allows both parties to save some gas and meet in a public place where they are both comfortable.
