Today was a great day. I took my gf to the range so she could shoot her very first gun. She has always been hesitant with guns and have never been to fond of me having them in the house. So today we went and shot the two 9mm's I have. Friday night we went through the guns and how to hand them and so on, this morning I made her buy a box of ammo so she knew what to buy, and then off we went! She did great and I am very proud of her...on the way i out I told her ya know, "One of these would fit perfectly in your purse.". She replied with I dont think I could own one yet....key word is YET!

Good day with my gf, she did great, and working towards one more responsible gun owner.

It sounds like your gf is coming around to the use of guns slowly. You are right to talk about it and familarize her with guns. Keep up the urging and keep it slow, she will come around.

Once she starts to accept it your guns will become hers.

Good going boostedxt. Thank goodness my wife was never ANTI gun when I met her. Over the years I too have finnaly gotten her to the point of asking "when are we going shooting ?" . It's a really good feeling when a guy finnally hears that sweet question!

yeah she had fun...she called my dad all excited and he game her a nick of "Pistol Packing Mama"....lol. her first target is on the fridge too!

She is slowly coming around which is good because I wont ever sell my guns.:D

Be careful what you wish for.... buying guns for one gets expensive enough- soon you'll have to buy for two.:uhoh:

Damn! A redhead, even! Man, you got any idea what you're in for?!?!?!? Good thing you didn't have a good Ruger .22 autopistol to start her on!
She'd be taking you to the gunshop in the AM for a .45ACP!!

Stay safe.

Always good, (and fun), to take the wife or girlfriend shooting. See, mine turned out to be one and the same. We married in '72. She shot "some" before and "some" over the years...but not much. Still fun.

She actually didnt mind the sigma...she noticed the trigger was hard to pull but didnt complain about it.

Yeah...she is great. She is awesome.
