Finally got a chance to get out and try the Genix SPP (nickel plated) in my revolver tuned for Federal SPP.
5 out of 6 ignited on the first strike, the 6th ignited when struck a 2nd time. This is in my revolver which I normally practice with using non-competition loads ignited with Federal Small Pistol Magnum primers...it goes 6/6 with the SPM.
It is possible that the primer in question might have been a little high, but this is good enough to use for practice loads and save the Federal for matches. I'll load up 100 and see how they do in a practice session...if the temperatures would stay below 100
