Glock 19's, anyone have any issues?

Have a 17, 19 , and 26 that have given me no problems with extensive shooting.

My G22 has had no problems with limited (a few hundred rounds).

My G32 worked fine for me for a couple hundred rounds. Let my buddy shoot it and it jammed nearly every mag (I'm almost certain it something quirky about his grasp on the gun).

I have a 23 and 30, I still need to wring out, both are unfired (shame on me!)

PS: My 19 is my favorite.

Had a glock 17 and 19 (both since sold for other, newer, different guns), and never had any issues with them. Ate everything I fed them. Only sold them as I wanted something different (you know how that is). If we ever get concealed carry here in WI, I would consider a 26 or 19 - completely reliable. Good luck!

I've shot the Glock 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35.

I own a 30. I've probably put at least 10,000 rounds through all the variants (8,000 or so at least through my own 30), including several that were range guns with thousands upon thousands of rounds between cleanings.

Never had a problem with them. And some were early 80s original Glocks too. I've shot over a dozen 19s, everything from early production to bought it last month ones, and they all go bang very well.

I don't have a 19 because I"m a .45 man, but I carried one for a few weeks, and would have no problem doing so again.

Edit: I had an S&W Model 10 heavy barrel, clean, with factory ammo, jam solid enough to kill you in a gunfight once during a PPC match. Cylinder locked shut and nonrotating. Turned out a frame screw backed out on the right side of the gun.

Check your carry piece, every time..... that Model 10 had eaten 5,000 rounds of .38 without a hiccup till then.

My 19 runs like a clock, somewhere between 2500-4000 rounds later. I have had Glock problems, just never on the 19. Mine is around 2 years old so I guess its the newer version.

MY Financee wants a Glock 19. She thinks they are the perfect gun for her.
I'm hoping to sway her to a G32 in .357 SIG, but she is stubborn.

I wonder if Glock will be shipping guns with 15 round mags from old stock..
in October?

Of the 6 or so Glocks that i've owned,,most of them in 9mm..nary a
problem. They are light on the hip and deliver reasonable accuracy
in a very reliable package.

I tend to shoot better with CZs and they do the same job as the more
expensive Austrian 9mm.

Stubborn? It just sounds like she's smarter than you. :p

I have four Glock 19s of various ages. Sometimes I take all four to the range and shoot them against my Glock 17 and 34.

I have several other 9mm pistols.

Frequently, I wonder if I shouldn't just sell all the rest and keep two 19s...

In my opinion the G19 is the most perfect, for me, of all 9mm pistols. I have many others but none better, just different.

I don't have any emotional stuff on Glocks but it ends up I have several. I buy a lot of guns and sell the ones that are not accurate enough or reliable enough... What is left is a lot of Glocks and some other guns.

I've only had one jam with mine, and it was my fault. No other issues and it is prefix SZ made in Jan 1991

REALLY--BAD--idea.

I dare you to repost that under general discussions and ask for opinions about trying to talk your GF out of "her perfect gun".

Sounds to me, like she knows what she wants. Why to try to "sway" her. Also why subject her to the extra recoil and blast, which she probably won't like, thus causing her to develop bad habits. And all this, for a marginal, if any increase in "performance".

I have two 19's and a 17 and a 34. The only jam I have ever had was in the 17 using CCI snake shot loads. I have used cheap Wolf ammo. UMC and PMC . All my Glocks feed Winchester ,Federal or Remington hollow points.

It's HER gun. Let her pick it. Geez...

My Buddy..

"My buddy, my buddy...wherever I go HE goes..."

"Ya stay with 16 homies - and one in the hole
When the first one get out, the next one go
To know where ya headed, ya gotta know where ya been
The Glock stays with me - we's friends to the end!"
----50 Cent----"My Buddy"

One of the more printable verses by 50 in the song "My Buddy", extolling the virtues of Glock ownership

Dunno how some of these rappers (most of whom are felons) get away with not either being arrested for parole violations or at the very least get sued for patent infringement or something by the gun companies :D

I love my 19. It's easiily digested the measly 1,000 or so rounds I've put through it. It was my first pistol ever, and it's performed flawlessly ever since I learned not to limp-wrist it. Now I'm just waiting on some yummy 15-rounders!

The only issue I have is having enough money to buy ammo for it.

Unless you read the lyrics, most people can't understand what they are saying.
