Just came across a G30 used, had some wear from carrying but looked good. I gave it a quick cleaning and had at it. The last 45 ACP I shot was my 1911 that I sold a few years back.
OK this thing at about 30' is dead on, no kidding I was surprised 2" in groups. Now the BUT, I was shooting reloads from 7 years ago and everyone of the 30 or so jammed either on the way in (one round wouldn't extract and the other was right behind) or out (brass flipped up but didn't clear and the next round was trying to seat). Here is what I was shooting.185g JHP, 5g Bullseye Lg PP and OAL 1.230. Need some help here? I put thousands of these thru my 1911 and never had one problem.
One last thing when there is a round in the mag I have to force the mag in. With no round mag goes in easy.
OK I did last night while sitting here take this thing down to the bones. It was the filthiest gun I ever seen. Both the FP hole as well as the extractor spring/rod and hole were plugged with dirt and gummed up.
It's still to cold her 19 degrees to go check it out could this have been the problem you think?
