Anybody keep their Glocks in a vehicle year round. I'm kind of hesitant about it because I live in a very hot and humid climate, and fear that the combination of those factors may degrade the polymer frame at an accelerated rate. The last thing I want to experience is a kB from a 10mm  .

One, polymer degregradation won't cause a kb. No polymer is used to contain pressure. In addition, the frame is not a highly stressed component in that pistol. You need to have steel degradation (or an unsuppoted chamber, which is a design feature, not a degradation issue) for a kaboom. I doubt you car gets that hot.

The #1 cause of polymer degradation is sunlight. Good ol' UV rays. If the gun is in the console or what have you, you should be fine.

If you leave it on the dashboard, after a decade or so you may notice that your pistol is decidely crumbly.

Polymer Glock, no. However, the Kydex holster you may have it in will respond to excessive heat. I had a Blade-Tech that lost a bit of its form after being in a car glove box in 100 degree + heat for a week. Blade-tech replaced it no questions (great experience with BT). Mike

The Glock frame material has an additive that greatly reduces UV degradation. Supposedly it loses only about 1% mechanical integrity after accelerated exposure tests equal to 100 years of direct sunlight.

The temperatures reached in a parked car will not adversely affect the material. Based on what I can determine about the frame composition, it won't be damaged until up around 400F, and is safe to use up past 200F.

I hope leaving a Glock in the glove box doesn't cause damage, since my G26 is in there all the time. Since it's November, and it was 90 degrees today, I figure we knows about some heat down here. ;)

Shot it last week, and it worked fine!

If there ever does become an issue which it won't it will be your great, great, great grandchildrens by then, you will be long gone, and if it last that long then it deserves to melt!:)
Just think there are people in Iraq and other places that carry them day in and day out in the extreme desert heat, and the baking sun. it will be just fine in your car.

I carry in the car in California. And while the climate is rarely humid, it does border on desert heat conditions in the summer and on into the fall. I've been carrying my G30 in the car for over six years now -- with frequent summer trips to Las Vegas -- and have observed no ill effects to either the slide or the frame. And it still shoots as reliable as clockwork.
