I think that Bill Richardson of Arizona wants to be the Democrat's Moses and his timing couldn't be better. I also noticed that John McCain is hanging with the next Democratic candidate for President. So, I think that we will be looking at Richardson, or McCain as the number two. I know, McCain is a Republican.

How do they do it? Simple.. Use illegal immigration as their issue. It goes against the interests of the party, but power trumps all.

So, how do the Republicans respond? Maybe they can provide U.S. visas to anyone who wants to live in the U.S. At least we couldn't call them illegal.

So, immigration may be the issue for 2008. Of course, Osama might chime in, but short of that, immigration is the burning bush of U.S. politics.

So, hope that Bush is able to appoint more than one Supreme.

How do you vote... Vote for Hillary and regain some sanity with regards to our immigration policy, or vote Republican and suffer the financial and cultural woes of an open border? You want a sane immigration policy, then expect more legislative judges in the courts. All praise Hillary..

What has the Republican party done for America?

You couldn't pay me enough money to induce me to vote for Mrs. Snopes Clinton, but I have a hunch America is going to vote for her just because she's not a Republican.

Hillary only needs about 5% of voters to switch from voting R to D.

Funny, she's suddenly - at least tacitly - pro-life, anti-illegal-immigration, gun-neutral, religious, supportive of a quasi-conservative SCOTUS nominee, and will likely take a right-wing approach to other high-profile issues soon. That should add up to that 5% rather nicely.

Sadly, the Repub administration has done little for RKBA, squelched political speech, spent like crazy, encourages illegal immigration, passed the PATRIOT act, and is otherwise gradually ticking off followers - with no heir in sight.

Hi again, Bill. Hello, Mrs. President. Who's your VP?

Gary,

What gives you the idea that she would change the immigration policy? Campaign promises are not enforceable, according to the courts. Any candidate can promise anything they think will get them elected and do a 180 immediately after getting sworn in with no legal repercussions.

Actually, it's way, way less than that. Out of approximately 118 million votes cast in the last election, 381,147 would have been all it would have taken to change the outcome. That's how much Kerry lost Florida by. So if that many either change their vote next time (how many voted for Bush just because his brother is governor?) or have that many additional democratic votes crawl up out of the sewer and Hillary's in there. And that's assuming all the other states vote the same way they did in 2004. And there's no guarantee of that, because there won't be an incumbent next time.

Campaign promises are not enforceable,

Yup, ask all the Upstate NYer's about all the jobs Hillary was going to bring us  And how she was gonna help the Upstate economy.

And for that, we can thank George Bush and the Republican party.

Bush is a Republican? Are you serious?

LMAO. By that, I meant they have been busily alienating their constituents since the election.

Republicans, Democrats, all the same to me at this point. The Libertarians aren't much better lately.

Ahem:

Let me tell you something--I'd cut off my left 'nad with a dull knife before I'd vote for that piece of :cuss: Klinton. I am counting on states handling illegal immigration issue now. They have the momentum and we, as state citizens, should encourage them to push forward.

First, Bill Richardson is the Gov of New Mexico, and will play public opinion with his statements just like Hillary. McCain is a Senator from Arizona and appears to be the North Vietcong Manturian Candidate posing as a Republican. Second, it will be a toss-up if Hillary (if elected Pres) will grab businesses (like the health care business grab of Hillary Care) or will grab guns first. All you need to know is the history of Leftist totalitarian governments and the 250+/- million of their own citicens killed to know what we could expect. Leftists+totalitarian beliefs have been BAD in the past.

Ha, I hope the Democrats run Hillary. As a lifelong Republican, but knowing how fickle the people in this country are the swing voters would like to vote Democrat. Don't worry Hillary's record is gonna get brought to attention if she runs for POTUS. Also, even though the press will try to shield her from controversy, it will be impossible in a POTUS campaign and the fact the liberal media doesn't have the monopoly it once had. Also Hillary ain't exactly her hubby on the stump speech, and really not as slick as "Slick Willie". As much as I hate ole "Slick" I'll give him credit, he has a quick wit and can give one hell of a speech to get the masses a movin. If anyone here noticed in the 04 race, Bush is considered to not be a good speaker, but on the campaign trail he was terrific at getting the base motivated and providing energy in his campaign(something his father could never do in 1992), while Kerry came off as well "lame". Unlike her hubby Hillary does have convictions, which would all be very bad for us firearm enthusiasts. :uhoh: As a GOPer I'm banking on Hillary running :D . Don't worry about McCain or even Giuliani, they will never make it through the GOP primary. If the Democrats were smart and ran a Dem who has proven he can win in Red states like Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana or even Gov. Richardson of New Mexico, I'd say they would win. But the Dem's are in love with their Hillary Goddess. :barf:

Hillary can't lose the nomination, but she can't win the election.

Remember that the nomination goes to the one who appeals to the most extreme of the base...and she would have to play to them. She has too much baggage to get elected nationally...senators rarely do (only two have gone directly from the senate to the WH, and only 3 in the past 60 years). I bet she would have a hard time winning NY. They all have to swing to the center to get elected nationally...after swinging right or left to get the nomination.

For the same reason, McCain cannot win the nomination, but can't lose the general election.

Personally, I see no difference between them...they'll both try and take our guns.

Would the race have ended differently if it was Edwards/sKerry?

As for the current crop of wingers, they would have been mistaken for Democrats 40 years ago. The current crop of moonbats would have been taken for socialists.

And who will the wingers put up?

All in all, it's a moot point. What is overwhelmingly important for gunnys is who gets on SCOTUS.

What gives you the idea that she would change the immigration policy?

Desire for a second term.

McCain cannot win the nomination

This is his last shot. He can't get to the big show as a Republican. I still think that Richardson will use immigration to put himself on the ticket.

Don't worry Hillary's record is gonna get brought to attention

You assume that the public pays attention. Please..

Bush has done his best to do us all in. He fights a war with half-measures and opens our borders.

I am probably late or missing something, but just to state the obvious. If she is pretending to move to the right, it means she will probably try to run for president.

I hate to break it to you like this, but Hillary has been running for the presidency at least since late in Bill's second term.

I hate to break it to all of you, but the Clintons are much loved by many. They are much hated by others, so it will be those folks in the mushy middle that make up their "minds". These folks don't remember their history, they react to sound bites and generally don't pay much attention to politics. Many will be fooled by her apparent move to the middle. John McCain has been kicking it with Hillary for the last few months. He knows that he can't make it to the big game as a Republican. He clearly has a huge ego and is loved by the mainstream media. McCain as the donkey VP would pull Republicans into the donkey camp. Sure, they are RINOs, but it also means that Hillary would be in a strong position. Hillary and McCain are cut from the same cloth. They will do what it takes to get where they want to go. I don't know if McCain has made this calculation, or if he is just keeping his options open. Maybe he won't go Democrat if the Republicans give him the same prize. So, who will the Republicans run. I don't think that the country would go for another Bush..although the better Bush has yet to run for the office. Rice is unlikely, but a black woman would be an interesting move.

Any Dem who wants the nomination will have to pander to the left wingers and that will mean opposing immigration reform.

Why haven't the Dems become big and vocal on immigration reform?

ILLEGAL ALIENS VOTE FOR Democrats!

The left wing La Raza supporters who vote in Democratic primaries will force any candidate who supported immigration reform to oppose it.

They cannot get away with 'demonizing' illegal aliens.
