Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem with a GP100. When cocking the hammer in single action, I feel a hitch where it would normally lock in cocked position. It must be pulled past that position, and will finally lock up, but it is way past the point where a properly functioning hammer would need to be pulled. The trigger is very smooth in both SA and DA, and the gun cycles and shoots well, so I'm not really sweating it. Does anyone think I should be worried about this issue or know what the problem might be? Thanks.

You shouldn't really sweat it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "properly functioning hammer."
Maybe you're talking about the DA vs SA hammer positions.
In DA the hammer won't travel as far back as SA. It's simply due to the trigger mechanism. This is why some people who change springs may have problems firing the gun in DA compared to SA. In SA the hammer will travel farther and strike primers harder.
