I made a quick trip to the range this afternoon to troubleshoot a pistol. Pistol is still fubar but I picked up a bunch of brass. We have four 25 yard pistol bays at my club. I scoured three of them, the fourth was too muddy to mess with.

There was .45 ACP and 9mm brass on all three bays. One bay had 50 rounds of .45 Colt sitting on a barrel. One bay had a bunch of 10mm. I picked up three quarts of mixed brass in total. That's before I picked up my own brass.

I picked up a gallon of mixed 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP after our defensive pistol match yesterday.

I can't stand to see brass just sitting on the ground. I pick it all up. I've probably got two lifetimes of 9mm brass since I joined the club.

Hi...
I think we all feel the same.
I know I have nearly 10k pieces of 9mm brass. I shoot very little 9mm...maybe a thousand a year. My son shoots probably three times that much 9mm.
I have about 3000 pieces of .45ACP brass and probably 6000 of .357Mag brass and easily a couple thousand .38Spl. I have several thousand .40S&W, as well.
Probably have around 1000 pieces of .45Colt and many hundreds each of .41 Mag, .44Spl., .44Mag and .45AutoRim.
Somehow with two Hornady LnLs I still can't get ahead of the curve getting cartridges loaded.

My name is Dudedog and I am a brass scrounger.
It's been 3 days since my last scrounge.

Help is available, maybe it's not to late and you can be saved;)

(I am to far gone to be saved):D

You guys make me want to go to a public range, never been to one, have only shot on private land so never had the chance to bring back more than I shot, usually less

Some people just can't be relied on to pick up after themselves at the range. Last year I had to pick up about 100 45 Colt brass from one of the stations. Shameful.
