As for Protestant terrorists, look at the IRA (I know they are Catholic but they are also Protestant versions), the Christian Identity Movement (very large Christian base), other Right Wing Militias, the KKK, Michael Bray and his boys, not to mention the numerous other right wing reactionaries.

Unless someone in the news has published a manifesto fully explaining their actions, why mention ANY characteristics?
Age, color, criminal history, economic status, race, religion, residence, sex, sexual orientation - all of these are personal characteristics that may or may not be relevant to a person's actions.
Culturally, we seem to be following a trend of eliminating all mention or discussion of personal characteristics because a commentator MIGHT misuse a characteristic to pursue an agenda. Let's not promote preemptive banishment of potentially valuable information just because it has the potential to be misused.

I believe the Derek you refer to is the admin. for THR. I don't know what he has to do with the discussion of the French riots and terrorism unless someone comes up with some off colour comment or a threat.... But you did not (or cannot?) show any recent or ongoing examples of current so called protestant (or any other brand of non Islamic) terrorism. What countries are having a problem with widespread non Islamist political religion based terrorism today?
I have stated OVER A DOZEN valid ongoing conflicts involving Islamists and you cannot come up with one other religion where its followers are using these same tactics in even half a dozen countries. I have proclaimed that Islamist Supremacists are doing these heinous acts, not the so called "moderate muslims". Do you deny the facts? Is it wrong to call a Muslim a Muslim? Are all the Islamist Supremacists not Muslim because they are violent? Is Islam a religion of peace or a religion of pieces?

takhtakaal, read the koran and hadiths. Find out more about Sharia, Kafirs, and Muhammed.... Maybe a lot of Muslims are born into Islam and don't really read it's material. There are people who don't read the bible and call themselves Christian who are not. There are peaceful Muslims capable of peaceful, considerate coexistence; but I think they are ignorant of thier own religion.

afaik if you own a business it is almost impossible to fire someone and you have to give extensive bennys, as a consequence , no one is hiring and you got your basic high unemployment.
Here in Reno we have a high employment rate, a boss can fire you for no reason at all.

These are not open ended commands to go and conquer all lands and enforce these laws upon them(like sharia law is). Israel did not follow the statutes and have been punished. They are not publicly hanging gays in Israel like in the "Islamic Republic" of Iran. The gays hold their "pride" parades in Jerusalem and there are lots of people worshiping other "gods" throughout the land. These ancient laws are simply not being enforced. Your point is not valid if you are implying the wording of the laws are constructed to be enforced everywhere.

I am a Christian, some of the most wonderful people I have ever met are Persian/Iranian and Muslim.
A war with Iran is a horrible idea. I can't stand the Iranian government and it is a safe bet most of the Iranian people don't either.

It's all about poor housing lack of jobs,little or no prospects.Paris is a very popular tourist destination but behind the smart cafe's,historic buildings are the slums.From what I can gather from a friend who has just returned,it was a mixture of young people who were involved in the trouble,no particular race,religion.
Nobody in the goverment now wants to comment,they love the tourists money and don't want to loose it.
Gone are the days when Paris streets were paved in gold they now are paved in dog $hi...
