I recently got a Ruger Single Seven with 3 3/4" barrel and I'm looking to get a good holster and belt for it. As I'm going through the research I came across a question I hadn't considered; should I get a belt for my pants and put the holster on it, or a belt like the old cowboys wore that didn't hold their pants up?
How common is it among holster/belt buyers these days to buy a belt that doesn't go through the loops, essentially meaning you are wearing two belts?
