sorry guys i don't know where to post this but how do I pay for something on gunbroker? I just won an item (no ffl needed) and I want to pay for it?

send the seller a message and get his address and give him yours, go to post office and get a money order and ship it to him with the auction number and item you bought description and sit and wait for it to arrive at your house

or, ask the seller how he wants to be paid. FYI, it's probably in the auction itself.

Most of us use cashier's checks, money orders, or personal checks. You sometimes also pay over the phone using a CC if the seller permits it (often with an additional surcharge).

Do NOT use paypal.

he accepts Money Order / Certified Check, Visa / MasterCard. I've had a bad experience using money order so i prefer credit card. i'm looking up that checkout thing and is this where i can use my card? (kind of like ebay) why no paypal? I've always used paypal in the past, i gladly pay the 6% for it to be secure

if you won an auction, click on contact the seller - it will give you his phone number. Call him and ask him what you need to do.

I just bought (I say bought instead of "won" because of current prices it's not really a "win". LOL) something on GB for the first time as well. I used a postal money orders that I sent FedEx with a signature required because of the amount of money, I wanted proof that it was received and on time.

I have bought/sold a lot of little things on here and other similar forums. Payment is usually done with a money order or check.

Some people will just send cash, which I wish they would NOT do because of the potential for theft/loss while in transit!

I always get nervous buying stuff from people online but so far have not had any problems other than something being a few days later than expected. One thing I do is stay in frequent contact with the seller/buyer. I let them know when and how payment has been sent/received. The same thing goes for the merchandise. If anything is sent with a tracking number, I provide that to them too.

PayPal is anti; you can use them but can't indicate what it's for (candidly I wouldn't use them BECAUSE hey are anti). Have the seller guide you.

There are several sellers on GB that only accept PP and although they have smoking deals on occasion I will not deal with them at all. You do what is good for you. FWIW I have hundreds of transactions on GB both as a seller and buyer with zero problems to date. Just send a PM to the seller and your question will be answered in a timely manner.

I've used *ay *al at least 8 different times. Just need to be smart & discreet. But here's a little hint I'll throw ya-----> binocular collecting is a great hobby to get into....:D

Sorry I assume by entering my credit card info, it was an option I could use for payment, and it is but now I just have to figure the process

If it's a Business selling, it's just like making any other order over the phone, You know... like before the days of the internet ;)

Call seller, Read the info off the card, they type it in at the register, and include the reciept when they ship the firearm to your FFL in your state. (if applicable)

Only done it once now, for my Schofield replica, but it's quite painless.

As per gunbroker rules, the seller will contact you with contact info, payment method and an invoice that includes shipping cc fees and sales tax of any of that stiff applies to you.

Totally wrong. You can't use it to buy items that need an FFL or ammo or mags over 10 rounds because they are illegal in many states. Otherwise it's like any other purchase. It's funny how so many pass false rumors as the truth.

thanks for the input guys, I was able to email the seller and he insisted I call him during a certain time which I did today. He took down my card number and said he should have it shipped tomorrow. Hope everything goes well.

I always use personal checks and, of course, don't expect the seller to ship until the funds clear into his account. So far, no problems and I've got an A+ rating there.
