My wife would give me money or support to buy a gun but leave the choosing to me. She wouldn't know what model, caliber, or type of firearm to buy. She did gat a friend's advice and surprise me with a Leupold scope once - fantastic. Likewise, I would never buy here GPS or sewing machine without her consultation. You guts with gun savy wifes or GF's have a different situation.
