I have a Kimber classic model 84m in 7mm-08. I bought it for my daughter to hunt with me, when she thought it would be a good way for us to spend time together. She didn’t really care about hunting or shooting, so I started using it. With good 140 grain bullets, it kills deer like lightning striking. I have killed several deer with it and never had one to go more than a few steps, most drop in their tracks. The 7mm bullets are just magic. I am not sure if it’s the caliber that’s so good or if it’s the fact, they are so easy to shoot. It just works and works well on game. I would say it’s a much better deer round than the 243 and just as easy on the shooter. 7mm-08 is one of the best.
