Picked up a thousand primers and 1650 bullets for my 1911...

Woot! I completely FORGOT about it today, I was gonna get some ammo to support it. Well luckily, I bought some S. African .308 today for tomorrows shoot.

Hey, glad I bought it on ammo day. How ever did I forget :D

I bought 1000 .45 ACP LSWC's, a brick of Winchester LPP's, and a pound of Unique yesterday from my local gun shop. I totaly forgot that it was ammo day. I have a $50.00 Wallyworld gift card that I've been saving for the next big ammo clearance. If I had remembered, I would have bought $50.00 worth of .22 at Wallyworld. You can never have too many .22's.

I had this marked on my calendar and everything, but I ended up working all day long, putting over 400 miles OTR.

Oh well, with the money I made I can buy lots of ammo.

I had been planning on draining the local Wal-Mart of all their .45ACP, to do the AR-15.com variation of ammo day.

Maybe next year...

I'm also on a quest for a new gun. My idea has been to buy a decent bolt rifle, an aluminum snub, or a pocket gun,

I may know where you could get a nice Savage 110 :neener:

Chaim....The Armory in Annapolis had some mil-surp bolt guns on the rack Saturday. Looked like some Mosin-Nagants and some sort of Lee Enfields. He even has the 7.62x54 and the .303 ammo in stock.

I could have used 500 rnds of 12ga, 1000 9mm, 1000 .380, and 500 .40 (the .40 woudl be a motivator to get me to buy a .40 sooner) BUT... i don't have the cash for that these days, so i had to settle for 100rnds of 9mm, and 100 of 12ga.

I picked up 100 rds of .45 Colt, at the local TrueValue hardware, in preparation for the Ruger Vaquero I'm picking up this Friday.

I forgot about Ammo Day, but I bought ammo on the 19th anyway. Funny how that works!

I picked up a beeeeautiful Norinco SKS and 500 rounds of Silver Bear 7.62x39. I've wanted an SKS for awhile now, and this was easily the nicest Chinese non-Russian SKS's I've ever seen. All matching serial numbers, beautiful stock, and a super-clean action. I didn't intend to buy a case of ammo, but I thought $60.00 was pretty reasonable for 500 rounds at a local gun shop. Nice!

Heh. Forgot about Ammo Day, except...

I was at the gun show in Chantilly. The Kel-Tec P3AT that had been calling to me, is now mine. So, along about Monday, I realized, oops ,forgot Ammo Day. But, I DID buy a gun... Wait a minute -- yes, I DID buy ammo. 100 rounds of .380FMJ, and 20 rounds of Winchester .380 SXT. Shot up 50 FMJ and a mag of SXT, Monday afternoon. I won't carry something I haven't fired, and I picked up the Kel-Tec as a BUG.
