It's been discussed before. Most people who have had to kill someone, in self defense, in the line of duty or in war, won't necessarily just blurt out all the details.
In my case, it was war. No legal headache, but I did face an inquiry, which I gather is SOP. A little guilt, but that passed. In that fire fight, several were killed, several were injured and a few got away.
If one has shot someone, one generally will wisely refrain from discussing it publicly, for numerous reasons.
Only one bothers me, and I don't like the 4th and New Years...
Generally not good advice for one who will try to justify a shooting as self defense.Posted by redneckperson38: While taking the ccw course, the instructor suggested that everyone hire a lawyer on retention, most time being around $2500.00,and if the time ever comes that you have to take anothers life in self defense situation, call 911 and tell them there's been a shooting and to send ambulance and police to your location, then hang up. when the police arrive, tell them nothing, except that your in a state of shock and that you need to consult with your attorney before making a statement.
the reason for that is that "everything you say can and will be used against you".
