Well it has happened to me......I've been noticing mosin nagants, in particular M44's, have all disappeared.....so I started looking for one so I don't miss out on a fun toy..... after a few weeks of looking for a M44, I was updating my list of all guns I own and, lo and behold, there was a M44 already on it. I had forgotten about buying it 6 or 7 years ago and it was in the back of the safe.....

Has this ever happened to you?

ps. please don't say I own too many guns..... you never have enough until you have one of each type ever made...... :)

Does having to empty the safe for a full inventory count? I can't say I forgot anything, but there were enough I had to check.

I've never forgotten that I owned 1 paticular firearm, but cleaning my gun safe 1 day... I did find an envelope w/ 5 C-notes that I had stashed a couple of yrs. back. :what:

That same day, I went out & bought a couple of .22lr rifles, ammo, & went shooting w/ my son. :D

It's always fun to find something of value that you forgot you already own! :)

No such thing as too many....

Flash,

"Sweet, he's got a backup!" was the first thing that came to my head.

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I am working on it Flash, I am working on it.

I've certainly forgotten about guns I've owned and sold in the past, but I don't think I've ever completely forgot about guns I currently own. I guess I'm too young to start having Alzheimer's issues. :)

Happened to me recently. I was looking thru my ammo shelf and was wondering why I had so many handloaded .308 shells. So I checked the safe and found a Savage Tactical .308. Forgot I had it, probably because I never fired it.

I shouldn't admit it but yes I have more than once. Cleaning out the safe is like going to the gunstore. Sometimes I find a "new" treasure to play with.

I have not but A friend has a hkp7m8 in one of those nifty leather concealment vests left it hanging on the back of a chair in a truck stop in Kentukey. After eating and getting 5 minutes down the road turned around and went back for his vest and gun. Well I supose everyone already knows he didnt ever get either back they just disapeared.

Yeah.... Guilty!

I was married when I stashed it :)evil:) & divorced when I found it. :neener:

Took me several hours one time to located my Colt Peaemaker.

I hadn't seen it in a long time and one day realized I didn't know where I put the thing. Like I said, several hours of looking before it turned up. I was starting to think it walked off. What it was doing in the bottom dresser drawer under some cloths I do not know. (other than hiding)

We were spring cleaning last year and I found an envelope in the sock drawer with 4 and change in it, bought a new fishing pole and took the wife to red lobster.

I just recently remembered my brother still has one of my .22's. I had forgotten all about until he called me the other day.

Havn't had this problem with my own guns, but i forgot I was holding a shotgun for my friend for the last 3 months until he got a safe. Needless to say, I was clueless what he was talking about until he showed me where I hid it...

''... please don't say I own too many guns..... you never have enough until you have one of each type ever made...... ''

I just ran into one of those AR7 pistols the other day. It is the second or third time I've run into it and been surprised I owned it.

I also have an EG Mak that is about 99% that I forgot. I put it away because it was so nice and when I went to buy one at a shop the wife asked me why I wanted another EG. I told her it was because I didn't have one.

She was right. I hate it when that happens.

Does it count if you forget which safe you put it in?

other wise no.

I like my guns too much to forget them, besides I don't have enough to do that yet...but i'm working on it...have 2 on order now after and the next on the list is a Dragunov or M1A. :D
