My Nightforce 3.5-15X 50 scope and my Badger rings arrived today. Still waiting on my trigger. I'm going to have to get away from this thread, its costing me money!
Stopped at the LGS/sporting goods store to replace a kayak paddle lost yesterday on the lake and was stunned to see quite a bit of ammo on the shelf, along with primers. Haven't seen primers for over a year.
Limited to only 2 trays of primers and 2 boxes of ammo, though. Ammo was high, but primers only $.40 higher than normal.
An old, well cared for, 870 Wingmaster. Blue a little faded but unmarked. Plain, 28" modified choke barrel. Corncob forend. I pulled the wood, put on an unused set from another 870 which donated its heart (receiver) to replace the cracked one on my late brother's TC, which my son loves and has been using to nip at my heels. I'm going to order a clamp on adjustable rib from Add A Rib and make a fun 16 yard gun. Right now it is wearing a 26" skeet barrel, maybe even til dove season gets a good start.
Past three days? No. Last week? Hell yes!! Flaring die, some cast bullets to see if I like them, powder for said cast bullets, and new bullets to try for my 223.
I would have bought some targets but I need a specific size so had to make my own. The Sharpie I bought to make them was gun related. That counts.
Not a purchase, but brought these home yesterday. Gifted to me from a friend's estate by his widow. He was a retired NM State Police Criminal Agent/CSI investigator. A Standard Products M1 Carbine in a Choate stock (regretfully the original stock and handguard were not included), and a 1st year new model Blackhawk in 30 carbine. Both show a fair amount of age and wear but mechanically are sound.
I have another VZ-70 coming in. Great little pistol for home-defense staging, as well as carry. A little pal for the one I fancified: View attachment 1012444
I have a Sphinx SDP on the way, and just purchased 3 more magazines, two baseplate kits to add +3 rounds, and an upgraded firing pin and springs to lower the DA/SA trigger, as is widely recommended.
