Prove that he's a felon before you ask members to pile on. Also, if he's a felon how is he an elected official in VA?

Felony or misdemeanor convictions? That determines whether he can legally have those firearms in his possession.

BUT, far more telling is the fact that he has a history of violence and convictions for them as well as having has his license to practice law suspended and then he was disbarred for lying to the court and violating probation.

If he's a felon he's committed a crime that can be prosecuted at the state level, but if he is a misdemeanant it can't. The fact that he's exactly the sort of person none of us want to have access to a firearm is the angle that could get the greatest effect if we can't show a felony.

Is he still on probation and could that be a violation of probation?

Morrisey was convicted of Misdemeanor Assault and Battery. Original charge was Aggravated Malicious Wounding.

Also, Virginia Legislators are exempt from the government building firearm restrictions that apply to everyone else.

I'm more interested in his current parole status with respect to the question of his possession of firearms.

Yes. Let me clarify, the exemption is for State Government Buildings and General Assembly. Not Federal
