Ok guys and gals, here is the challenge. I am looking to replace the stock on my VEPR 7.62x39 to a more conventional AK. Here is what the rifle looks like now.

This is what I want the rifle to look like:

Keep in mind I don't want to cut anything off the rifle. Some adaptors are made (one by Ace) that require the cutting of the tang. The rifle needs to be as original as possible. If I could find an old used Robinson set that would be best. If you can find me an orignal set like here in the picture I will send you 2 boxes of .22 bulk.

Find me a stock set (stock, grip and handgaurd) that fits and one I can actually order and bulk pack (550 rounds) is yours. The first post giving information on where I can buy the set gets it. Cheers, Sammy

Contact Robarms, they used to convert them; and while it is a long shot, they may have some of the parts still available (for replacements/warranty repair). Good luck.

:)

Yeah, I sorta figured that much (seeing as how you mentioned them by name). Personally, if I owned one, I would be more than happy to trade you for the original thumbhole wood set...there's got to be someone else that feels the same way.

:)

Well, if you want a Saiga forestock, i've got two extras i won't be using anytime soon. They're more ergonomically like your current one, but black polymer.

Well it looks like I owe rebrnie a bulk pack of .22. I contacted Ironwood Designs yesterday and am heading to their shop in the next week. They are going to look at my rifle and make me a set!!! I will post picts when I get it on the rifle. This thing is going to look good. Thanks all!! Sammy

IWD does good work...I'd be willing to bet it will look far better than the OEM or RobArms stock.
