I don't mind wear marks if it's from me. And I think it adds character. If it wears evenly/consistently, then I like it better than new... I don't feel like I have to be as careful.
I aagree about the beavertail being entirely functionless. However, I like a rail on my gun, especially if I don't have a dedicated "nightstand" gun. I carry a Ruger LC9, but have a streamlight equipted Glock 19 for the things that go bump in the night.Definitely check out a regular non-rail P220. It's a very popular gun for a reason.
The beavertail doesn't serve any function, and non-rail sigs are lighter and feel better in the hand than railed versions.
For the same MSRP you could go with the BEST option...

Beavertail is comfortable, and looks good. Also, I intend to mount a light at some point. And "feels better in the hand" is subjective... I like the feel of the Elites.Not a fan of the coloration, and no SRT.
