question for "glock people" i have a 17 and 22c that when the "slide stop lever" is pushed down the slide slams into the barrel. it will do this with or without a magazine. i always assumed this was correct. i even incorrectly called it a slide release. i have a brand new 36 that requires both thumbs to push this lever down to get the slide to come forward. a local "gunsmith" informed me you should not be able to push this lever down and return the slide without pulling back on the slide slightly, that was why it was called a slide stop lever and not a slide release. i thought my 36 was just new and needed broken in before i could easily release my slide like the other two. i have noticed that the 22c sometimes does not remain open after the last shell but shuts on an empty chamber. i just attributed this to the cheap wolf ammo that i am using up never to buy again. HELP me out guys.
