Dh 1632, i have AWA Lightning pumps in 38 special and also .45 Colt the 38 is justńnNn' . M butt accurate out to 100 yd and the .45 most accurate at 50 yards. Both rifles are fun to shoot with the .38 being trouble free and the .45 has occasional feed problems with 250 gr lrn feeding.
The Henry that i provided to my neighbor's son has had a lot of ammo burned through it and he says it is very accurate with winchester bulk white box

Don't take this wrong, I watched the video and noticed that you were shooting well behind the ranges shooting benches and pavilion at the targets that appeared to be for those benches.
I am sure that you checked to see if any people were ahead of you before you started shooting.
I go to two different ranges and if the authorities drove up and saw me shooting past those benches, even if they are well off to the side, I would probably get a good talking to.
I may be wrong, this might even be your range, maybe this is OK.
It just struck me as not safe, people present or not, maybe worth pointing out.
As far as the Henry rifle, I am a fan but wondered if it was blued metal or painted like the other rimfire lever guns they make.
Anyway, don't be offended, I'm just a safety nut.

I had one in 22LR and I really enjoyed shooting the gun. It can sure burn through the ammo fast though so having one in 22WMR would be a bad idea for me.

I found the forend pump grip to be a little too far back for me and wished it would have been pushed further forward. I also start having a hard time seeing the gold bead front sight after a while of shooting, but that's probably starting to be age. One thing about it though, every Henry I have ever owned or shot has been a finely made gun.

Sigsmoker,
We make sure the area is abandoned before we shoot at any real distance. This range is private, however, and its always just us there. I will definitely bring up this safety concern in the future.

I had a Henry pump in 22WMR and it was a total disaster! Misfires, stuck cartridges in the chamber ect...

It was so bad, Anthony I. himself took it back and told me I'd never be happy with their pump, as they just don't have the mechanical advantage to be a smooth easy working pump. He replaced it with a Lever, that I'm very happy with...

Lever guns is what Henry does best, they should stick with that, UNLESS they do a total redesign on their pump, instead of making it out of a converted lever gun.

I have the pump in 22LR and is a fun gun to shoot. The barrel is blued while the action cover appears to be a powder coat.

You don't hear about a lot of bad acting LR versions, but the 22 mags., have lot's and lot's of problems...
