For a long time I've wanted to buy a Hi Point C9 "just because" and finally did so. I havent fired the gun yet but noticed something interesting when cleaning it. When looking down the barrel with a light, I swear it looks like there are only 3 rifling grooves. I own several 9mm pistols and have never seen one rifled like this. Is this normal for the Hi Point? Again, I haven't shot it yet so I don't know about function but was hoping to get some input. And please, no general Hi Point bashing.

You got the Deluxe model - THREE lands and grooves!

All kidding aside, the proof is in the shooting.

I agree. Shoot it and if it doesn't keyhole then I'm sure it's fine. I respect the Hi Point brand for making decent guns for low budget shooters and people in need of a defense gun but they don't exactly come with target barrels.
