ok i know its not the official slogan but where does the "because you suck and we hate you" slogan come from?
just curious

I love it !

Where can i get a T Shirt with the HK emblem and those words underneath it ?
white letters on a black shirt.

I also need a " got Sig ? " T Shirt !

From someone who either has never owned, or doesn't care to own an HK I would assume. Potentially a Glock, or Sig owner then again maybe even a 1911 buff. Definitely not someone that happily owns one or more HKs.

a lot of it comes from how HK treats the civilian market. When the G36 sporter came out, that was more or less the last straw with HK for a lot of people.

I find their pistol line

to be too bulky and wide....in general just too big and awkward for me.....

Now their G3 is another story ! Love at first sight ! [ .308 of course ! ] :)

Well......

one shouldn't argue with Jack Bauer about HK 's i guess ! lol !

@ #9- Balog, don't you know that HK's are so well engineered that you don't even have to load the cartridges facing forward in the magazine for proper function?:D

Most likely nowhere, as use of the HK logo without their permission would constitute copyright infringement, and HK seems to be only slightly less litigiously evil than the Disney Corporation.

When was there ever a G36 Sporter on the US market? The closest thing HK produced to the G36 for the civilian market was the SL8 and SL8-1. Because HK never introduced a semi auto version of the G36 people gave up on HK? They most likely weren't HK owners in the first place. JMHO

Last I checked on his website, Larry has owned multiple HKs, including an automatic MP5.

Saying "HK cust. serv. is a bunch of arrogant jerks, their fanbois are unusually rabid and have a higher 'wannabe operator' ratio than many other types of fanboi, and some of their products do not live up to the hype and inflated price" is not the same as saying "All HK's suck."

JMOfartO:

I've owned a lot of pistols in the past 55 years of firearms ownership (I'm 67). I've tried some that were good, some not so good. But I've never been any happier with any of them than I am my P2000sk V3.

I don't require a lot in a pistol.. I like to buy 'em new, and I want 'em to shoot perfectly right out of the box, and obviously inherent accuracy is a plus.. I've only had 5 pistols in all that time that performed wayyy beyond my basic requirements and FOUR of those five were H&K.

I keep reading about how H&K doesn't market to civilians, but I'm sure they market to where they make the most money for their stock holders.. That's just good business sense.

H&K makes enough firearms for the civilian market that if you look around a bit you'll find the model you are looking for. Most of the local gun dealers in my little part of the redneck world (S.E. Ga.) simply do not carry many, if any, H&K's because of the prices, and a considerable portion of the buying market have no clue about H&K's anyway.

Want a Glock? There are zillions of them at every gun store, pawn shop, and just about every place you look that sells firearms. I have nothing against Glocks (had 2), but there is something special about the H&K's I have personal experience with that no Glock can measure up to, and that's why I sold my Glocks and why I have three H&K's.

It all boils down to personal choice. If you don't like H&K's for more reasons than you've "heard bad things about them and their Customer Service reputation" don't buy one. But until you've had one for yourself I suggest you hold off on your opinion until you DO have the chance to actually experience shooting one.

My H&K's have been absolutely reliable right out of the box, and astonishing accurate too..

I judge by personal experience, not rumor, and I find that works pretty good in most things in life..

No offense, especially to you Glockites.. ;)

Best Wishes,

Jesse

Just because someone doesn't like HKs doesnt mean that they love glocks instead. I personally see nothing wrong with having disdain for a company that shows an obvious predjudice against civilians.

This is backwards thinking. The reason people are upset with HK is not because they don't market to civilians, it is because they refuse to sell the same thing to civilians that you could get as an LEO. They treat the civilians as a lesser class of citizen by saying that they won't sell hi capacity mags to them or they won't even produce a civilian version of many of their best guns. Their stock holders would stand to gain from a civilian version of the mp5. Their stock holders would stand to gain from a positive civilian view of HK. They are purposefully holding themselves back with their elitist management.

I personally love a HK pistol. I enjoy the 45 over the 9 but the 9 is still a fun fun fun fun gun. I too can see advantages of HK compared to a glock. However, its hard to find a glock these days that doesn't come with hi cap mags (depending on which state you are in of course).

So, why does HK shoot themselves in the leg by not selling much of their good stuff to civilians? Its not for market reasons. Its not because its tough to produce. The only reason I can think of is because "you suck, and we hate you."

HK's ain't all that---had a NIB USP .45 that mediocre at best.

Accuracy was no better than a Ruger P90 or 1911----the $50 magazines left loaded for a week or 2 and the springs would take a set(multiple magazines) and then fail to feed.

It was promptly dumped for something better---at those prices it had better work---and it didn't.

longdayjake,

Respectfully, "Quot capita tot sensus" applies here, and you are certainly entitled to yours.

For me, I have three HK pistols, all are excellent, and I'm a big H&K fan. I suggest a dissatisfaction with H&K is best voiced by judicious use of your billfold.

Not that H&K is going to lose any sleep over the particular loss of your business because H&K's business is first, and foremost, the MILITARY, LEO Depts, and others who buy in tremendous numbers.

Don't like 'em, don't buy 'em..

But making a blanket statement that "you think" H&K hates the civilian market is backwards thinking.

In my opinion... ;)

Of course I also have the opinion that there has never been a Ruger centerfire pistol made that is more accurate than the average H&K, but again that's just personal opinion too.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing that HK makes magazines with springs so weak that they will not function properly if left loaded.

With the USP line of pistols, the 9 and .40 were plastic mags and the .45 mags were metal. For several years, availability of .45 mags was poor, and what you did get seemed to have pretty bad QC on the fit and finish. It basically looked like if you wanted a factory mag that hadn't shipped with the gun, you were getting QC rejects and being charged full price. IIRC it was somewhere around 95-99.
