Hello... I put some new Hogue grips on my Smith and Wesson 411. I like how they feel. It took me a little adjusting to get them seated exactly perfect... Well, close to exactly perfect. I'm super anal about my guns being as close to perfect as I can keep them even though they have been getting used a bit. It took some pushing and prying, tightening and loosening to close up the gaps. I gave all the gaps a firm massage with my thumbs to get the grips seated just right. Anyone else have to do this to get their Hogue grips seated nicely? And now that I'm satisfied, it's time to finish a hard day by laying in bed and caressing my pistol. 20210820_192600.jpg

With the exception of bedding down and caressing my pistols part o_O… I have had to occasionally wiggle and press about to get a Hogue revolver grip to sit right during the first installation. This is especially common with the S&W J frame and round butt K frame grips that clamp in place rather than use the stirrup/screw mount that their larger frame grips use.

Looks like you did a great job getting the grips just right .

Stay safe.

Whew!! I thought I was the only one that did that!

Hogue Grips can be tight. But they're movable.
Not as tight as revolver grips, I've had to do much filing on some grips to get them to fit, have also cracked a pair trying to force it on my SP101.

I put a set of Hogues on my Redhawk in 44 Magnum. After looking at their grips on other guns and getting good comments from Hogue owners. They were tight going on but no big problem. I like them and it's more comfortable to shoot compared to the original wood grips... IMG_0170.JPG ....

First set of Hogue Handall's I put on I worked up quite a sweat. Maybe that's what helped them to finally slide in place.
