I have a S&W 637 and recently bought Pachmayr grips with the covered back strap because the boot grips that came with the gun were too small. After buying the Pachmayrs I've discovered that I now cannot snap shut the thumb break on my Galco holster. Does anyone know of any holsters with an adjustable thumb break? I'd prefer to stick with this style for retention purposes.

wrong holster

i have a 637, the 637 has a floating firing pin making the frame longer than
the model 37 or 36 i went to a don hume jit belt slide holster without the retention strap. very comfortable ,easy draw good retention .your best bet
until they come out with a holster for the 637 . reasonible price ,easy to find
approx. $30. shipped. good luck and carry safe.

Makster, which galco holster has this problem? Retention strap on my FLETCH for J-frame closes fine on 442 w/out backstrap and on 640 with backstrap. But honestly I don't really use this holster - galco Concelable feels tight enough without retention strap.

Also, if yours is slightly short you may want to just stretch it out. Force it closed around the gun and leave overnight - the leather will stretch and stay this way.

I am using the Galco FLETCH holster. The Pachmayr grips add about a quarter inch to the length. Hopefully the holster with stretch a little. The only adjustable thumb break holsters I found were the cheap nylon one-size fit all models that I'd like to avoid.

makster, go on the bianchi web sight and look at the lightning holster
the retaining strap goes between the trigger guard and the grip
i have used this with the large uncle mike grips with no problem.
