Hornady posted up this video a couple of days about a new product introduction next tuesday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n233sHgQeeI

I know it's kind of hype-y, but what can I say, now I'm interested.

Does anyone have any info on what it could be? Thus far looking at thefirearmblog.com and sniper's hide I've heard guesses that range from functional polymer cased ammo, to case-less ammo to new super-efficient bullet shapes, or new polymer bullets.

Polymer matrix bullets wouldn't really be cutting edge as they are already out there... I would have to guess a new efficient bullet shape. One of the folks on Sniper's hide said that the range they show in the video is a 2,000 yd range.

What do you think will Hornady live up to the hype?

While I doubt its reloadable, center-primed 22LR, it better be something along that line of impressiveness with a video like that.

I envision a high BC bullet with a textured wind-defeating jacket.

Nothing in the video leads me to believe it will change the world of reloading as we know it.

HURRY, HURRY...Step right up! Those who cannot swim, climb a tree! The Elephants are about to PEEeanuts! Getcha red-hot peanuts Here! :D

NEW and IMPROVED! Ah, Yeeeesss! :what::D;):)

The suspense is awful!:p

I'll be pissed if they bring out another progressive press and drop the Lock N Load one. I like Hornady a lot but this is getting to be a pattern.

I have already lost interest. Then there is risk, I do not want to be between the store selling the new stuff and all the shoppers getting in line to purchases 'it'.

F. Guffey

It's an App for APPLE Phones!;)

Either that or Tactical Zombie, Vampire Bullets ,

"IT" probably mounts to a Segway for reloading on the go... I remember when they advertised that product, it was going to revolutionize all forms of travel! It did revolutionize the mall cop business, but that's about it.

Hopefully Hornady will deliver better in spite of the similar marketing. From the video, I don't think it is a press, or reloading tool or anything like that. I'd have to agree with blarby, I'm thinking it's some new Super bullet design, or maybe a new type of propellant.

Yawn,,--! Much to do about nothing.

Maybe quit trying to come out with a new gizmo, make some bullets? Try to find premium 7mm bonded ,( interbond), or copper solid,(GMX), bullets they already make. It's either "
Out of Stock, No Backorder" OR "
Unavailable - Limited Production"

I've been a loyal user of those bullets, but maybe it's time to switch to Nosler?!!?¿

Whatever it is, I doubt it will live up to the ad's hype. It really does remind me of Segway.

American Rifleman says they've seen the new product and that in their opinion it's a big deal... For whatever that's worth.

A quote on their blurb sounds like a hint, but about what, I'm not sure.

"Turns out Doppler Radar can do more than just tell you when to carry an umbrella."

I really don't think they are going to market a radar chronograph, as those are on the market and therefore not "WORLD CHANGING!!!!!".

Hhmmm maybe computer controlled laser guided bullets so we can't miss?
That would be game changing.

Turns out Doppler Radar can do more than just tell you when to carry an umbrella."

Maybe some new super high BC bullets, I believe the radar is/can be used to determine BCs.

What caught my attention is what he said , " they didn't realize it was a problem until now "

There's many problems right ? So what could it be I wonder ?

Maybe a cheap Doppler that can track exact bullet trajectory? Or something completely un-related to the Doppler and they just want us all to get hyped up about it.

5 more days! Can I stand the wait? Will I be able to sleep? Or should I call my neighbor, the meteorologist, and get his scientific opinion? Better hurry before this thread goes away! :D

No. No. Yes definitely, we need his expertise in fancy guesses applied to the question at hand post haste!

They obviously think it's BIG! I'm excited to see what it is but it'll probably be something i cant afford anyway.

It's a new rifle cartridge that shoots forwards and backwards at the same time, (over your shoulder) and a brand new twelve station lock n load AP......Ruger's going to co-announce a new military rifle called "Surrounded". Yes, that's never been a problem before....now there are too many Isis and growing...they kill one and 10 pop out.

Why 12 stations? So you can load two different calibers with each pull of the lever.....take that Dillon!

Hopefully they've found a way to make an Auto-Drive cheaper and include it with the press.

My money is on it being a .45 caliber, fully auto, suppressed, Popeil Pocket Fisherman.
Remember you heard it here first.
