How did you find THR?

Maybe this is an old question. But I'm still curious about how members happened to stumble onto The High Road. Lots of new folks lately, so lets here your story.

Me, I came over from TFL when Rich folded up his tent and Oleg decided to keep things going.

As an old retired guy that just started trying to learn how to use a computer a few yrs ago(still trying) I find most things by accident but I heard about the HR on the Ruger Forum. Lot of members there come here too.

I was trying to find info on a rifle, an AIA m42 and old listings of this site came up on google, I happened to look around a little bit while I was here and decided to add my 2 cents worth to some topic. I must say I have become totally addicted. Guns, shooting and hunting have been a passion all my life. The last 10 years i have been very busy with raising 4 kids and starting my own plumbing company, the youngest is 5 now and I am actually developeing a little free time on a regular basis. Natuarally I have gone right back to shooting , camping and hunting and taking my familly with me and teaching them too.

I was looking for info on the M-1 and found Oleg's "Make a Choice" webpage. Linked from there, lurked, and finally started posting.

Great site, in fact I was approached by a friend today who was looking for info on guns (crime here has got him thinking that he wants some protection, funny thing is he told me that he used to think I was crazy for having water, food, ammo etc. and after Katrina.... not so crazy anymore ) and I gave him links to here, packing.org, and VCDL.

Well, it was...

basically announced on TFL, so of course I followed this mass of fine folks over! For some reason, thefiringrange didn't quite spark my fancy..but Oleg volk's vision did do so.
