I just picked up a Glock 27 sub compact and am trying to find the best way to carry it. I usually carry in a high ride belt slide holster, but I often have to keep checking to ensure my shirt is still down. I can carry it in my pocket, but it looks like I am carrying something rather large in my pocket. I have just ordered a Smart Carry to see how well it feels. How do you carry your sub compact Glock? Why and how well does it work for you?

I use the same Glock off-duty...

In summer I use an in-the-waistband holster, due to the problems associated with concealing a weapon in summer clothing (which is often shorts, T-shirt, and sandals for me).

In cooler months I wear the gun in a belt holster, as the heavier clothing allows me to easily conceal the weapon without printing.

I'm accustomed to strong side draw from work, and tend to automatically reach for a gun in that location... Thus, my off-duty rigs are set up the same way.

I tie a string to mine and swallow it. If things get hairy, yank the string.

It does get kinda dicey though if you lose the string. But that only happens occasionally.

Just ordered a C. Rusty Sherrick "US High Ride" OWB. I have two IWB but have decided that the Glocks are just too thick & uncomfortable in that mode.

BlackHawk CQC, SOB style, adjustable for cant. If link works, Glock 27 is similar, but smaller.

Variety of leather belt holsters OWB strong side hip.

Hmmmm, my digi cam seems so have gone AWOL.

I've got a couple of them, and they all carry the gun at slightly different heights and positions. This means I can tailor where it rides with what I wear.

I have one Kydex drop holster for my GF, but it is hardly used. Most of her jeans are low riders so the drop holster doesn't work as intended.( But it makes a nice speed rig :) )

I do carry a spare mag or two in kydex mag pouches.

That's what I love about my Glock 26. 13 rounds on tap, 19 in the spare mag.

I've gotten out of the habbit of checking my shirt. I'll make one check when I get out the car, but mostly I've gotten used to moving in a way to keep things concealed. That and the choice of clothing makes it harder for things to print or flash.

PS found my camera

The brown leather one gets the most use, followed by the closed black 26 one. The larger closed one is actually a Glock 19 holster, and it gets used for IDPA because it has an identical carry angle as my 1911 one.

26 in a Milt Sparks Summer Surprise - conceals easily. Shoots well.

Pocket carry doesn't work, I'm afraid.

Glock 26 i carry in a holster from pocketholsters.com. you need to have large front pockets to accomplish this but with the leather flap on the front just looks like a square object in pocket (plus the flap assists with opening the pocket up when drawing it out). works great for me when going out on quick trip.

My G27 is carried either in a Sidearmor or Hume H715M, both IWB. The Kydex holster seems to be slightly less comfortable than the leather. I can't really figure out why.

I carry my Glock27 in a Don Hume IWB rig and sometimes in an Uncle Mikes ankle holster. I am not comfortable pocket carrying a Glock due to the 5.5lb trigger. I pocket carry my Smith 642-1 as a BUG to the Glock.

I tie a sting to mine and swallow it. If things get hairy, yank the string.
