Retired LEOSA eligible Fed. Dropped off paperwork on Friday, came in for photo & pick up permit on Wednesday. (Deputy that handles CCW was out on Friday & tied up Monday & Tuesday)

Picked up the CCW 'cause my last in-service proficiency was over a year old & they haven't made any local provisions for the LEOSA required annual testing.

State cashed in my check of $117 two months ago, and no permit. Licensing says it can take up to 3 months before receipt, unless you do electronic fingerprinting- which will lessen the wait. There must be a lot of people getting there CCW permits at this time.

Original issue of WA CPL was thr33 weeks, renewals have been showing up in just around 2 weeks, depending on when I went in and USPS vagaries.

My first one in this state took about a week in '69. When I was in CA, that one expired and I was not able to get another. The one I have now came in the mail less than 24 hours after I washed the black off my fingers.
