I have enough but the list keeps growing. Guess I "hoard" guns too. I honestly don't know how many I own unless I look at a list. I probably wouldn't notice if two or three were stolen for weeks unless they broke into my house.

A few years ago I asked my father if I could borrow one of his revolvers. My mother looked at me and said, "You borrowed that last month." Oops. And I thought she didn't care. 
Too many guns.
My uncle still has first dibs on the Marlin Mountie he gave me in '63.

As far as current production, I have just over 50… then a few handed down that I inherited. It seems to keep growing until I can’t find any more room in the safe and then I’ll trade a few to get something I may be wanting.
Someone asked how do you shoot them all… like some others here, I keep a spreadsheet on them and it actually has several formulas that calculate “frequency of usage”, if one starts getting in the higher digits I know I can sell/trade it and not miss it too much. Though over the years, I’ve found that I go through cycles of what I’m most interested in (i.e. centerfire handguns, then black rifles, then sporting shotguns, then black shotguns, then .22lr’s… then the cycle seems to start all over again).
I find it an enjoyable and relaxing hobby… so to me it’s worth it to relax my mind a bit and enjoy before heading back to the salt mines.
I just had twin boys born last fall… so I find that I’m buying 2 of a lot of new guns…

A year ago, I was down to one .22 rimfire rifle, an AR-15 partly disasembled, 6 unloaded handguns I hadn't fired in at least 5 years, all stuffed in a gunsafe.
Now, thanks to the CHANGE, I have an AR-10 in .308, 3 AR-15s in 5.56, the aforementioned 6 handguns plus one more 9mm pistol, and my storage area runneth over with ammo.
Future purchases will move into more conventional (read: low risk)areas: a Marlin lever action in 30-30, and shotgun(s).
But still, I will need to buy replacements for most, after the tragic boating accident to come.
Good thing I can see the future.

Just gave my young shooting buddy my 1943 Springfield Garand, that was converted for the Navy shooting team to 7.62 NATO. He had asked for it, and with my health, it is easier to do it now, then do it through the will.
Gave my 21 y/o daughter a Colt Combat Elite and an EBR. Gave a woman friend of mine, a beautiful little very early Kahr K9 stainless with a factory Elite trigger and a nice Alessi holster. And on and on.
Yet miraculously, the collection keeps growing and growing! I do believe certain guns will be legally worth more than others in the not so distant future, I don't believe many quality weapons will be worth less. Unlike my stock portfolio.
But the question was, how many guns do I own?
Only the one I am wearing right now.
Go figure.

I've finally gotten enough that I can't tell you the order I got them. But I still know how many. I'd like to get to where I couldn't easily remember how many there are. I'd be fine with keeping track of them in a spreadsheet to make sure they were all getting some exercise at the range.

Don't have to.
I regularly shoot only 3 guns, but then I do not have more than 3.
When last counted, my wife and I had enough seating capacity at home like i.e., sofas, accent chairs, dining, sectionals, etc., to seat 50 people. I normally use only 3. Guns and chairs, what's the difference?

I have too many - and not enough.
I have a few I don't need, will never shoot, and don't even like -- but somehow I can't bring myself to get rid of them (sentimental value mostly).

This is my predicament exactly. Every time I say I'm done, I find enough leftover cash for "just one more", I should probably be saving for retirement or kids college, but I guess I can always sell the guns when it's time to pay for those things. The way things seem to be going, it's probably going to yield a higher return this way anyways.

Glock 26/27/33 (can't decide yet, 9mm, .40, .357 SIG, repsectively)
Some sort of Bolt-action .22lr,
a Beretta Bobcat (available in .22lr, .25ACP, .32 AUTO,)
and a good ole fashioned wheel gun,

I have 3 shotguns, 10 rifles, 3 pistols and a revolver or two.

Buried all my guns in PVC plastic pipe full of cosmoline in the backyard! Other day in the backyard with my dog saw a bunch of squirrels running through the trees with AK47'S, and my plastic PVC pipe full of acorns packed in cosmoline! People say I'm nuts!

Oh boy.....last inventory was 75 which needs to be updated. I suppose I have about 85 firearms now which include muzzleloader (rifles, pistols & shotguns), BPCRs, rifles, shotguns, handguns and some real cool stuff.
