How many have gotten their cc permit since the election?

Had you asked me a few years ago, I'd probably be going for my CCW. As of now, though, I have some very legitimate concerns for the future, and don't want to be on record with this administration in power. I would rather sit and wait to see what happens first. Being in a state-level database seems like a bad idea at this point in time.

^^^ Ya I kinda felt the same way, but I made a thread and people convinced me to, so I'm about to get mine. Wouldn't they still have your prints now if you had gone and gotten printed just a couple years ago? Just curious...And to me it seems like there's never been a better time to show support for "gun rights" and carry a gun because a lot of people are going to be desperate in these coming years, doing desperately illegal things.

In my opinion being on record is exactly what we need to do!

There is power in numbers and we need to send a message to this administration that we are a country that values our 2nd ad. rights.

This is the main reason I went for my ccl now. Before this administration I didn't really feel that our rights were truly threatened and that includes when Billy boy was in office.

Mississippi CCW

I applied for mine in late-Sept '08. Got a letter from the state in mid-Nov that the FBI couldn't read the fingerprints. Went back to the office and got a new set of fingerprints completed the Wed prior to Thanksgiving. CCW arrived Jan 29. No class is required in MS.

I never got it, so I'm not on record outside of the FFL transfers I've had done. And that requires checking individual stores scattered all over the place.

Filled out the paperwork for mine 2 weeks ago. Waiting for the card to come from the state. I also just purchased another handgun, but wanted the CCL to keep myself on the right side of the law. My area is turning into a war zone...

Edit, mine came in on Saturday, just in time to go to the local gun show.

I applied for mine back in December, according to State it should arrive next week.

Woohoo, my permit came in yesterday . 60 days from the date mailed.

My wife and I applied in December along with many other people. Average 8 wk wait. The patrol office said that numbers of applicants were increased dramatically. I'm angry to have to pay for something that should be my right anyway.
