How many rounds do you shoot typically?

I like it! I have some in different colors for different calibers, for loose ammo, and some for empty cases so that I can reload. I sell a bunch of them, too, at Straightshot Shooting. They're as handy as a pocket in a shirt.

To answer the original question, I'll usually load ten mags, put them into my MP8 with the two extra mags squeezed in, and then take another 150 - 200 rounds either in boxes or my bullet bags. Therefore, I have around 250 rounds of pistol ammo. Add a rifle or two at our outdoor range, and it adds another 100 - 150 rounds to the total.

My wife and I shoot about 150 rounds each on our weekly visit to the range.

I like to bring enough so that If I wanted to shoot all day, I could. There's a group of us that goes together every time the gun show comes to town (which is like every 3 months). We'll go saturday at 9.00am when it opens and we'll head out after that to shoot in the desert. We'll usually stock up on ammo at the gun show, because they've got the best prices. There's alwyas a good assortment of guns to shoot when we go. Last time we had 4 shotguns, 3 9mm, 2 .45, one thompson .45, a marlin 30-30, 2 M1 garand, one Mosin Nagant M44, one bird bomb gun(sweet little gun), 2 AKs, 1 AR-15 and a couple of 22's to top it all off. I would say between all of us, there were like 10 of us these, we probably went through almost 5000 rounds in all. Needless to say we spent the rest of the weekend cleaning our guns. It's kind of an expensive weekend, but we only do it a few times a year.

For practice sessions, I try to stay under 200 rounds.
50 22 LR thru the pistol
50 22 LR thru the rifle
50 thru a centerfire pistol
50 thru a centerfire rifle

I don't count the rounds if it's a 3-gun, tactical rifle or handgun match.

200 to 250 rounds of .40 S&W and about 100 rounds of 9MM. On occasion I add about 100 .357 to the mix, but not often.

The expense is the limiting factor. (I think I need to start reloading at least .45acp!)

Depends on the caliber. 22LR, about 1000 rounds if that's all I'm shooting. A brick if I'm shooting something else too. 45ACP, .40, 32ACP, 7.62x52, around 200 rounds. 9mm, 200-300 rounds. 38 Special out of my Airweight, or .357 in my N frame, about 50-100 rounds.

I live less than 5 minutes away from an excellent indoor range.

For my rifles...usually 100-200 rounds a month.
I live about 30-45 minutes (in light traffic) from an outdoor range.
