Probably enough, but I could always use more. I'm not trying to be evasive in my answer, but frankly, I'm just not sure how much I have on hand at the moment. I buy some, shoot some, buy some more, shoot some more. There's never a set amount around here. Probably a couple thousand .223 rounds, a few hundred in most other calibers, maybe upwards of 5-10K rounds of .22lr ammo, and a variety of reloading components (tons of brass for my commonly used pistol calibers).
How much does one need? All depends on how often you shoot, and how readily available you believe your resupply will be. I imagine supplies will be flying off the shelves again within the next few weeks (sounds like it is already happening), due to the post election panic (think: 2008).
Things are always changing around here, depending on how much I shoot. Right now I'm a bit low on pistol ammo, with only a couple hundred rounds available in calibers where I can often shoot a couple hundred rounds per range session. I probably don't have any more ammo for my .308 bolt gun, but 200 rounds will carry me a lot further with that rifle.
