i dont want to know what you where told, i want personal experiences. how many rounds have you shot through your cz and how many malfunctions?

does a cz 9mm shoot any kind of ammo? brass, steel, aluminum casing? will a cz jam up with hollow points occasionally?

what kind of grouping do you get at 15 or 25 yards?

EXTREMELTY reliable , I've owned CZ75 since 1984 when I bought my first one in Germany to now . I've never had any of them fail to feed with any type of round whether clean or dirty . As a testiment to the CZ75 platform look at how many copies of it there are . I believe only the 1911 platform is more emulated . I guess I've must have shot over 10K+ rounds through mine . As for accuracy a 2" group at 25 yards is pretty easy to obtain with practice .

CZ reliability and accuracy

+1. My 85C and SP-01 have been extremely reliable and launch Wolf, S&B, Federal, etc. down range equally well. I routinely achieve 3-inch groups with both at 20 yards. The right slide stop lever on my 85C did fracture after about 2K rounds (and an unknown number by the previous owner) but the part was cheerfully replaced by CZ USA and another 3.2K rounds have brought no additional problems. CZ makes fine pistols.

Mostly shoot Blazer Al through it.

-The same stuff that people blame on jaming the Glocks I own...

That's funny, it doesn't jam my CZ 75B...!?!

My three 75 B full size and two 75 B compacts shoot everything reliably, EXCEPT Blazer aluminum. The Blazer works consistently in all but one gun, which has non-factory springs.

I've had two. They are the best 9mm I've ever owned. Traded my first one in on a .45, gave the other to my son. If I ever get another 9mm they would be my first choice.

I bought a Glock 19 in the early 90's. Loved it, and shot 1000 rounds a month through it. A year ago I picked up a CZ. The Glock is now gone, and I am on my third CZ.
I still shoot 1000 rounds a month and have yet to have ANY problems. SOME have reported problems with Blazer. I don't like aluminum so I don't use it.

After I retired from the Air Force in Germany I worked for Ponds Security. Ponds security has the security contract for the U.S. Army in Germany. The issue gun is the CZ 75. I worked at Miesau Ammo depot and Mr Lelle and my self did the range work for the every other month familiarizing shooting and the yearly qualification course. We had six pistols we used only for the range work. In three years of working for Ponds before I returned to the states not a single one of the pistols ever failed to feed, shoot or extract. I have owned a CZ-85 for twenty years that has never failed me along with a CZ P-01 that I have owned for two years. The only problem I had seen with a work CZ-75 was during a post change when the on coming guard cleared the pistol and dry fired it. The firing pin retaining pin broke and the firing pin exited the barrel.

I've had 2 SP-01s, the first one had some fail to eject issues that were easily fixed after putting in a $3 extractor spring from Wolff. It was 100% after that.

The SP-01 I have currently has been 100% since the day I got it, with CCI Blazer, WWB, and Monarch ammo. It's currently my nightstand gun.

I am a recent convert to CZs.

Prior to buying my CZ85C I had owned a Glock17 since 1988.

The Glock was extremely reliable, but I was getting bored with it,

I bought my CZ85C in late December of last year. I would estimate about 800 rounds fired & no problems.

This pistol appears more accurate & easier to shoot accurately than the Glock, but maybe it just fits me better.

I think the CZs & Glocks are one of the best bargains available in todays world of many excellent handguns.

Have had 5 CZ pistols, only jams were due to my own lousy reloads overlong. Nothing factory has ever FTE or FTF, and every one of them consistantly puts that little high speed pill where I want it to go.

My CZ P-01 went 2400 rounds without cleaning or lube before I broke down and cleaned it. Zero failures. No problems with hollowpoints. I may need to stop cleaning it again to see when it actually chokes. My Sig 226 sits in the safe most of the time.

I have heard that the 97B has some problems with HP's, but I don't own the gun.

The Kadet .22LR pistol will go about a brick of .22LR without a problem (other than bad primers which is the ammo of course).

I own the P01 and have never had a problem.

If you really want to know about accuracy we could get people to scan the targets that came with their guns and do a thread on that. Maybe people could start doing it on this thread? Every CZ handgun comes with a factory target behind the foam in the box. I work at a large gun shop and look at the targets all the time and they're usually less than 2" grouping at 25 meters.

My CZ 75B. It's effective as a brick in the sock and reliable as a crowbar. Haven't coughed on anything. And if you run out of ammo, you can beat someone/-thing to death with it.

For me it's a tool that I can trust to keep my butt alive when it comes down to that. From time to time.

Target is plain A4 size sheet, with the target and statistics.

I had one some years back. A reservist owned it and he and his mates used to shoot it weekends, sharing it. Lordy knows how many factory jacketed loads they put through it, they nicknamed it the brasschucker!. I got it and run thousands and thousands of heavy lead loads through it. I had a few issues with my progressive press at one stage and had a squib in the middle of a fast string and fired another round before i could stop. The gun had a huge bulge around two thirds of the barrel, not a ring, but a bulge that roughly followed the rifling for an inch or more:eek: . I cleaned the barrel and gingerly fired another, no prob, I was away again, used it for another year putting squillions of rounds through it:D .

I finally bought a replacement barrel from the importer, after sending him my barrel. Didn't cost much. I took it to my gunsmith and after a few weeks he fessed up and siad he had never fitted a barrel to a pistol. He was a shotgun and rifle smith and had never had much to do with pistols. while I was there, we studied the problem and under supervision, I filed the top of the extension until it just went into battery neatly. Boy it really shot well after that.:D

I lent it to a friend at a law enforcement shoot and he told me it jammed occasionally and he found loose fired primers in the action. I had told him to shoot factory loads because I didn't have time to load any for him. When I asked him what brand he used, he said he got a good deal on reloads, 500 of them. The primers were as flat as pancakes, there was soot around them and a lot had actually blown the primers out of the case. I asked him how many he shot and he said 'all 500 of them.':banghead: I junked the brass as it had extractor marks imprinted into it, bulges, stretched primer pockets, etc. The gun worked as well as ever after that. Needless to say, I dont lend that fool guns any more.:fire:

CZ75s, reliable, strong? darn Tootin they are!!!!!

One thing I forgot to mention, if you have biggggggg hands, they are about the best pistol to use apart from the Beretta. They don't bite pieces out of you like those nasty lil' 1911s.

My CZ SP01 is the most accurate handgun I own. As long as I do my part, it will shoot teeny, tiny little ragged holes all day long. As for reliability, it goes bang every time. More reliable than the Energizer bunny.

14K/rds thru mine last year. Cleaned it maybe 4 times, a few drops of CLP as needed between cleanings. Replaced the recoil spring once with the stock weight. Added a Wolff extractor spring just because mine doesn't seem to like Blazer aluminum ammo. It didn't help..or hurt. Never had an ammo related problem with brass/nickel cased ammo regardless of weight or style of bullet. Haven't found any real difference in group size in any of the ammo I've used. Stays at around 4" at 25yds in my hands. I keep an extra slide stop in my range bag. The only weak spot I've heard of on a CZ. I give the CZ a solid A grade.

I own 4 CZs in 9mm with one (a P-01) being my CCW and another (a SP-01 Tactical) being my nightstand gun. I trust them 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

My P-01 and SP-01 have run without any hiccups or problems, both feed hollow points fine. No problems with my CZ-97, either, but have not tried JHPs through it.
