Anyone know what the CUP rating is for Howell's .45 ACP Conversion Cylinder for the Pietta 1858 Remington?...
Not the same thing. This is obviously offered so that cheap factory .45 hardball can be used in the sixgun. They would be stupid beyond measure to offer a .45ACP cylinder that could not handle standard pressure loads.Other conversion cylinders are not rated for "any" factory load for the .45 Colt...
Factory loads should never exceed standard pressures. Unless it clearly states so right on the box. There should never be any confusion over what loads are standard pressure and what loads are not....while non-cowboy factory loads and reloads for the .45 Colt can exceed 14,000 CUP...
