my Brother was a tank captain in the Army (or what ever you call it) he told me stories of deer in their thermal and dummy rounds.
I shot a Blue Jay with a sling shot when I was 7 or 8 and watch it suffer, felt very Sad!I didn't watch the video, but I'm not in favor of killing to get a laugh or prove my marksmanship. I did some of that when I was younger and now regret it.
That being said I wouldn't do that my hunt pack is already heavy enough lol
that regulation was because of lazy hunters used bench rest .50 BMG and shooting from a million yards away.
Way illegal here in Idaho. From the Idaho Big Game 2022 Seasons & Rules book:
“In any hunt, including any-weapon seasons, it is unlawful to pursue or kill big game animals: With any firearm that, in combination with a scope, sling and/or any attachments, weighs more than 16 pounds.”
I watched a pig hunt with a 50, and I can't honestly say where you draw the line. Is a 30-378 Weatherby much different. .that regulation was because of lazy hunters used bench rest .50 BMG and shooting from a million yards away.
Yeah, I know. I was just kidding around.that regulation was because of lazy hunters used bench rest .50 BMG and shooting from a million yards away.
Ya know even a halfway close miss with that will take the deers legs clean off. I seent that on the innernet so it’s gotta be true.that regulation was because of lazy hunters used bench rest .50 BMG and shooting from a million yards away.
it’s the range they were shooting from and the .50 BMG retains tons of energy at say 1,000 yards. Outfitters would cater to the lazy big gamers by setting up a bench and rifle and letting them have party time.I watched a pig hunt with a 50, and I can't honestly say where you draw the line. I think that is a way lazy way to hunt. Damages the meat, potential to just wound and wound other deer etc in the area. Not something I would do. This is actually a idiotic thing to do.

it’s a shame people can’t sell or process wild hog for ham or BBQ. Wild Hog taste good and organic and naturalNot to mention, your not proving much marksmanship waiting to light off, until the deer get to the feed.
I’ll still do it to pigs though, if I ever finish mine but I’d poison them, if I knew it wouldn’t harm anything else after it killed them…
they sold trapped wild hog at my hometown flea market! not sure how legal that was but, people didn’t care, it was the flea market. Very cheap too, feed a trailer village with 2-3 hogsNo reason you couldn't.
