...I was on the PC at night and I had my glock on my hip in a big galco
retenion holster and an extra mag at 1030.
I heard my neighbor lady screaming and heard running down the stairs.

It seems two of her guest whom she had just met that night ran out of
her apt with a large CD collection that belonged to her DJ boyfriend
who happened to be in jail (he has terrible taste in music btw)...

Well I felt sorry for her and told her to wait a minute while I put my jacket on
and put a sure fire in my pocket, we drove around and as luck would have it
just as we see the perps two Reno PD cars roll by, I flash my lights and honk
and the perps are so shocked they just stand there.

I point them out, they get cuffed (one was on probation for burglary:scrutiny: )

All the while I was talking to the cops (down town Reno btw) my jacket had slid around my glock (you know ...that slit some jackets have?) the cops never said one word! maybe they didn't even notice...but there were 6 cops there by the time it was all said and done...

the neighbor lady moved out taking her ruffian friends with her (and her rotten taste in music too)... I asked if she started hanging out in the church of her choice and nice people if she thought this kind of thing would happen...she said she will try.

Things like this never get into the papers and happen all over.
I never had to pull my gun out or do anything heroic, the cops handled it all very well.
What I really liked about the whole adventure was not having to worry if I was breaking the law myself by rendering aid while carrying...you can't do that in some places.

I know DNS, I should check in with you 1st before posting

:neener:

But it really did...I would not have gone after them without "my little friend"
on my hip.

btw, how did you know I wasn't wearing underwear?

Something similar happened to me once. I usually wear IWB but since I was just going at to pick up dinner to go I threw on my CCW OWB with a leather jacket over it. While sitting at a Denny's counter waiting for my food a table full of cops were siting behind me. Two got up and they came up to each side of me, one pt his hand over the handle of my gun and the other leaned it and asked my if I had a CCW permit. When I sat down my jacket fell over the gun partially revealing it. After I showed them my CCW permit they sat down and talked with me about guns until my order was ready. They were very laid back gun enthusiests. Guess it all depends on where you live.

And if there had been trouble and you ended up shooting, you'd be sitting in the pokey because you "went looking for trouble". Intent or not, that's how the prosecuter would be explaining it to the jury.

If the music was that crap I think I'd have let them keep it.

I disagree

I wasn't looking for trouble at all, I was helping a neighbor recover recently stolen items.

If I had to shoot it would only to protect my life.

If it even remotely looked like it would head in that direction I would have simply driven away, I was in my truck & they were on foot.

As far as a jury, a northern NV jury is either conservative or really really conservative.

In Reno it's perfectly legal to CCW in a bar for instance, and the jury pool is registered voters...all the political ads here are "I am more conservative then my conservative opponent"
